I noticed that a couple of people in this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...-c55-have.html were complaining about a torn hood pad in their C55s. The other day I noticed, that my hood pad is also torn from the passenger side. It's as if it came off the clip, and the hood pad is smaller, and can't be stretched and re-clipped.

Can this be fixed under warranty?

Why is this happening? Is the engine heat shrinking the fabric?

the material gets old over the yrs of wet and heat and deteriorates. heres the best answer i have found to fix it!!!

I'm sure its cheap and not much effort to do yourself, but if its covered by warranty, then I'd get it for free and not have to do anything
