Want a new engine?
Saw this on the other forum.
$5,375 Brand new engine.
Wouldn't it be the same for our cars too?

Jake is correct, although that engine would BOLT right into a C32 or SLK easily. Only thing missing is the intake hardware and cover.
I asked about the engine and here's what I got back??
Dear newzchspy,
"This engine is the first setup they used for the Crossfire and the later SRT-6 motors did have the SRT-6 badge. This complete set-up was a production engine and is crated with the Chrysler part number, 5136802AA, Mercedes part number, A1120100644. The number has since superceded to Chrysler part number, 5140878AB, Mercedes part number A112010644680, which would have the SRT-6 badge and has an application for years 2004-2006. They may have used these engines for the SLK32, if they did, it may have a slight variation but these engines are from Chrysler for the Crossfire."
Thanks
** My question is, did the SRTs ever have a hand signed engine like the AMGs?? *** Does the above response sound correct??

you can just use the tranny from your c320. If you get the c32 tranny you need to get a c32 tcu or get your stock tcu reprogrammed to use the c32 gear ratios or its going to through a tcu code.

AMG's first get the speed shift hardware/software.
And I would bet they get some internal changes as the C32 tranny is from the E55's. AKA they can handle alot more torque. I would highly doubt that MB would put this tranny in a C320, as it would not be cost effective and not required since the C320 has about 300 ft/lbs less torque.

The tranny and motor bolt up without any problems with no codes...long as you run the stock tcu. The gear ratios on the c320 are wider.

Pshek has swaped a c32 engine into his c320 coupe. I personally know him and have seen his car in person. He has been running a c32 engine with a 185 EC pulley with a c320 tranny for the last 2yrs without any problems.

its not a bad price for a engine with 0 miles. But for a swap, the guy selling the used c32 engine with tranny and ecu for 3k is a better deal on the classified section.

I think parts.com sells a c32 ecu for $1800 so its not cheap.
But someone should make good use of this engine.

The only difference is the imprints on the intake mannifolds,...., AMG on the benz, SRT6 on the chrysler. Thats it. (they claim the SRT6 is detuned, 330hp.) but I think thats
