C32 AMG, C55 AMG (W203) 2001 - 2007

my warranty ends in 3 days, putting my car in stealership in 2 days. need help.

thanks for that piece of info mark! do you know if that's covered under the 27 point inspection? i'm desperate for all the info i can get because i know that once i leave that dealership, a whole new chapter of my life with the car starts.haha like i said, i recently got robbed so i think i'm gonna wait on the tune. next thing on the list is for sure getting those plugs changed and an oil change. i'm waiting for the quote from my mechanic next door to our place of business. i'm getting 2 brand new front seats btw i guess both front seats seat warmers aren't working and they're built into the seat soo.....new seats. get the car back in the morning. i'll have them check those air injections. thanks!

Glad I could help, like I said... I'm sacked with the bill right now, and will take the car to an indy and have the pump rebuilt or a remanufactured one installed... such bull ****. The dealer also wanted 3 hours of labor... the indy wants .5 hours.. give me a break.

In all honesty, I would re-up your CPO if possible.

The seats are a pain in the *** as well, I'm on set #3... one drivers seat nearly caught on fire after the heater wouldn't go off.

Make sure the 6-disk is working.... I'm #4 (and the LAST) which just broke again last week, eating all my CD's and making a horrible grinding noise in the process. This is the same P/N used on many MB models, its a POS.

I can't remember if the C55 has to have rear diff. oil changed, might want to check that at some point, along with tranny flush (another rip-off). But those are general maintenance items.

Get any interior lights that have burned out fixed, that can be labor intensive for the dealer. Make sure sunroof rails are lubed up correctly and the roof isn't leaking or making noises when in operation.

Fog lights are notorious for going out because they heat up so much, especially in the rain and cold climates. One member was on set 5 or 6....

As far as other mechanical issues, make sure there are no leaks around the head gasket, and where the engine and trans. meet, this can indicate horrific problems.

Have them re-flash your transmission software (there is a DIY on here somewhere... hold the pedal down for 5 minutes or something).

Lastly, don't let them sack you with a loaner C300

thanks again for this new info, it's 5 seconds not 5 minutes for reset.lol but i'm gonna have them reset my one-touch feature on my passenger window becuase i disconnected the battery to put the new steering wheel on (which i love oh so much ) and i'm definately having them check anything that has to do with the mechanics of the car. nope, no c300. fog lights are maintenance so it's not really anything i can do about them and they're fine, i don't really turn them on. i think i'm gonna be okay, i think how it's cool how the dealer tops off the oil for free whenever

They don't replace the entire seat, just the seat bottom cushion. And nothing is ever truly free.....

yea that makes sense, only the bottom part from both seats were bad too. it's cool though how i got new leather, mine was starting to give. the last part is very true, they push oil changes and having them chagne the spark plugs very hard. i think that's what you meant? or i paid for it by buying the car with the price of the CPO

thanks for the good word. i've had too many people tell me i can't buy the cpo for reason like my car has over 50k or that i've had the car for a little over a year. what's the real answer if anyone knows? my dealer doesn't even know.

update: just got a call saying my car is ready, asked him to take a look at the secondary air flow and he said they don't unless it's bad or the check engine light is on and i asked them to just check it and they said that they don't have time because they're just trying to get as many people as they can out of there.

At least have them check to see if the update to the ECU was done to address the TSB that corresponds to the problem. If the update to the ECU was done, it will fix the fuse / pump problem.

My car is now in my possession.they did in fact give me two new front seat pads, but they're sort of different.I'll post pics of them in a few days.one of our employees knows how to check the secondary air so I'll have him do it.
