Tire Load Ratings for C55
Shopping around for a new set of tires.
Looking at tirerack, and more specifically at the Conti Extremecontact DW sets.
However, I notice that the rear tires are load rated at 88W, but the manual suggests that rears should be 92Y.
My current tires are the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 sports, and they too are rated at the rears 88W. They were equipped by the dealer like that.
None of these tire types offer 92Y for the rears.
Does it matter, and why would a Mercedes dealer equip the car with tires below the load rating?
