New 55 Owner + Pics
Hey guys,
I've been a member of the forum for awhile but just browsed. I'm happy to say I'm now a part of the "club". I've always loved AMG cars and decided to give it a whirl.
The car is an 05 with 29,000 miles. I picked it up 2 weeks ago and drove it back from Houston. The car was an absolute dream on the highway...gobs of power and more than comfortable. Unfortunately as soon as I got back, I had to leave for San Diego on business. You can imagine the frustration of having a new car sitting at home in the garage and you're on the other side of the country.

My past cars include a 99 M3, 06 GTO with full Holden Monaro conversion and an 08 Nismo 350Z. I have a very eclectic taste in cars.
I find the C55 to be an amazing blend of European style and raw muscle. I think we're going to have a fun run together.Anyway, I decided to take her out for some pictures today. Photography is a personal hobby of mine, and I'm loving the new subject. Enjoy!
-Matt

Thanks very much man! Glad to be here.
I'll definitely try to put my personal touch on the car, as I do with all my cars. A custom clear bra for the front bumper is first on the priority list. I'd also like to do something about those orange reflectors. My first "mod" is the factory ipod integration kit...I'm going to try to install that this week.
I'm sure Kleemann headers will find their way onto the car at some point. And LM's would be a welcome addition too...it appears you're familiar with those.

It feels every bit as potent as the GTO. The Z was a quick car, but it didn't have that unbridled feeling of endless power that both the GTO and C55 have...which is largely attributable to the massive amounts of torque both cars have.
) - impressive. I love the color. Easy to keep clean and won't show dust from sitting in the garage. I'm jealous

It's a great highway cruiser - with great pull even at highway speed. It's hard to keep it under 90 unless you pay attention.
Love your pics - you definitely know how to use a camera.
Welcome to the club. You will find these forums to be a great source of information. Lots of knowledgable people who have probably seen any issue you are likely to come across.

Amazing pics. Is your camera that good or are you that good at editing the pics? I would appreciate some hints. I'm using a Nikon D90 at the moment and my pics definitely do not look like yours.
Enjoy the car - great purchase!
There's just something about the way the C55 was designed that really makes it stand out from any other W203. I know it's the front end that is different, but it just seems so RIGHT.
. It's my own fault for not getting a clear bra on when I had the chance.Congrats on the new ride and very nice photography skills.

My pics are the result of a decent camera (Nikon D40), some editing and of course, my good eye.

The LM is the quintessential wheel for German cars...so classic and timeless. I wouldn't have it any other way. You're a lucky man to have them. Your car looks perfect.
A popular wheel from BBS...hopefully you know who they are.

D40 with 18-55mm Nikkor lens and a polarizing filter. Photoshop Lightroom was used for editing
Thanks guys. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming miles!
This second picture is completely unedited...I love how the factory tinted glass bathes the interior in that lovely blue. It's always been one of my favorite features of certain modern Mercedes. My mother's CLK430 was the same way.
