shift knobs.. what fits?
 

I need a new one. My C32 looks worse than a overweight junkie hooker in the daylight. I love the Brabus, which is impossible to find.. but I also love the leather OEM C55 one with the AMG cap on it.

Wanna see what options are out there.. 203, and SLK... anything else? 204 model?

tho for my C55, i just bought the black AMG emblem and super glued it on the cap.

Thanks. I've been debating on getting that carbon fiber round one, but I have yet to hear of anyone who got it. I am really hoping to score a c55 one and throw that AMG logo on it.

The 171 knobs should fit. 204s, have not tried it.

209 fits including the shift boot. 204 knob fits but not the boot. 171 knob fits and I don't remember about the boot.

There's a few different aftermarket ones out there that will fit using the stock boot. I personally have a 209 CLK550 that has a chrome trim edge and black star mercedes symbol. I've got it on a thread somewhere....

Yes, someone did it with the affalterbach knob when they went from a 203 to a 204

Will do. Hoping to still find a C55 shifter to throw on that AMG sticker.

if u do end up doing that, make sure u remove the adhesive that it comes with, and just apply it with super glue, so it sits flush. :y

SLS style? Those are on ebay for less than $100 I was just looking at them. How do you like it?

One is the on/off for the Laser Interceptor and the other one is on/off to convert the Laser Interceptor into a Park Assist laser (look officer... it's just a parking assist laser).:nix:

CLS 63....has that one.

I was a bit concerned about the "feel" because it is a totally different shape but it feels very good. It's used in a CLS63, E63 and SLS.

I know its the real thing but I was stating to the OP that they are in Ebay for under $100 as an option to his question. You can tell the difference by the leather emblem and quality. I'm thinking about getting this one myself since mine is starting to peel.
