Hi all.

Brand new C55 owner and already want to change to the CLK55 grill (W209 3-slat black with star). Car is already flat-badged.

Have found lots of DIYs (looks easy) but any references to a good place to buy it I can find are like 5+ years old! lol

I sent an e-mail to euroteckmotorsports who it looks like used to sell them but no longer does, and at other web vendors I've found including eBay everything appears to be "regular" CLK only and not the style or proper CLK55 fit I need, except for one guy selling a used one for $325 that's chromed and not black.

Any advice? Or am I missing something?

That was from a google search. There might be other dealers out there.

it does not have to be a CLK 55 grill it could come from any model CLK, just incase you didnt know. I would see if anybody on CLK forum would be interested in a trade with you as they like to put our grills on thier cars and vise-versa

lol - I was just replying to ask about non-55 or not. Appreciate the info.

I will ask in the CLK forum about a trade - a used OEM one in good shape would be better than a new Chinese one I guess!

I'm not sure I just bought brand new grill and the required mounting bracket for CLK from dealership, I got it at cost for 425 total. Then sold my C55 grill to a memeber on this forum. It fits perfectly looks slammin!!

I don't like how it looks like there isn't mesh behind all of it.

Also in that guy's ad it says "all CLK except CLK55" - which makes me more confused. lol

I know how you feel, I went through same process, weeding through all the garbage. I finally decided to keep it all OEM
