help: Engine head cover valve gasket oil leak c55.....
I realize there is oil leaking from the head cover value on the passenger side. Any one experienced it? How much for fixing it Or If I should it by myself, is it hard to be DIY? What parts do I need? Will there be problem If I Not fix it? Is it common problems? I just tuned my car with eurocharge. Thanks....

I picked up the parts for about $40 ($20 for each valve cover gasket). Is not too difficult, just remove the airbox and then the coils. Then each valve cover is heldon by about 10 bolts. You do, however, need female torx sockets to remove the bolts.

Where did you get your the parts? And how long does it take? And do you have any procedure?

I got my parts locally. You should try Germanparts.ca, they are in your neck of the woods.
I just set out the procedure in my previous post. But I'll see if I can print out the instructions and post them next week.

I just did mine yesterday with 98kmi. I had slight leakage from mostly pax side that gave burnt oil smell. I got the valve cover gaskets from Autohaus and also all 4 breather hoses which were hard and cracked. 3 on drivers side, one on pax. Breather hoses were about $3-4 each which I recommend since the covers are coming off. Take your time cleaning the valve cover gasket grooves and use gasket sealant to hold. Took me 3 hrs since the breather hoses require more disassembly. Good luck!

I used Permatex Ultra Black which is high temp and oil resistant. A couple dabs in the end curve sections which the MB OEM factory had grey dabs. Mine never had the gaskets replaced. Basically, remove plastic engine cover and intake hoses. Remove each ignition coil along with pair of spark plug wires. Pax side has only one breather hose to remove. Remove 10 torx screws. Driver side has 2 breather hose attachments to remove and 11 torx screws. Of course that side coils and wires will need to be removed. Replace valve cover gaskets and tighten very evenly. Reverse everything else. Good luck and happy motoring!

So times to DIY, I got the Gasket seal from Canadian tire and value gasket at dealer today. Spend me less then $40 and I will start my DIY on the weekend! seems not that difficult. Should be a easy fix compare to letting ppl doing it for $500 dollars!

I did this on the c32, the longest part was cleaning the gunk out of the valve cover and making sure the mating surface was clean, probably spent an hour just doing this. I presume it is the same as the 32 where there are small 2mm holes for the PCV which fill up with crap.

Thanks everyone for the help....mission completed.....one thing is I broke 1 of the bolt when I torque the bolt of the head cover. Those bolts sucks.....hate to use it.....I didn't torque it with torque wrench, just use my feeling to torque it. Make a long drive today, seems like it didn't leak again, so I ignore the broken bolt.......^.^
