I know this cost more than yours but this thing really works. the flow test shows it flows over 400cfm more than stock. good luck which ever way you go. jim

remember guys.
grinding the throttleaxle will give you about the same area as an 78mm throttlebody.
And, with the advantage of that you dont run up and down in area, in other words: keeping the speed of the air.

filter
There's a foam dual type Ramair filter in the Y, its a cut to fit filter, there is a ramair website that sells them, suppose to flow and clean better than the K & N's, that what they say anyways.

So Paqueres
You have a hard time seeing the existing filters still working and you think theres a socker sock envolved, you cant see any good ideas here??

You don't honestly think posting the company's own jargon is going to change how air flows. And maybe they're right and their filter flows better than any filter ever made, but that won't make your design flow any better than stock.

I was just trying to show that its not a soccer sock type filter, and you don't have to be an expert to see that it will get more air than stock!!!

This is his filter for his bypass :
Whether it adds power or not, we won't know. No before/after dyno and no before/after quarter mile times???
IMO, the tubes he's using must create a lot of turbulence and it adds little/no/negative power.

How can you see turbulence? It goes in right at the center of the throttle body, it doesn't interrupt the other air flow what so ever till the throttle body, if anything it directs the air coming in through the stock intake! like the stock intake baffle does..

Stop racing using your keyboard and post some 1/4 mile runs. Don't waste your money on any dyno since your setup needs some level of air velocity to have a chance. The usual dyno fans will not do the job. My advice (FrankW said the same thing) if you want to keep things OEM, get a 55 larger T and leave it at that. I do however give you an A+ for trying something new.

Code 3 was DYNO proven to increase hp, it was completely open and did not cause turbulence, only flaw I seen was if it could just get cooler air, so how could this be any different from a code3? this is the same but just has a place to pull a little cooler air from..

Can you not tell that they are not bypassed?? They are still there working, These are just EXTRA air tubes going in to the throttle body! How can this be that difficult to understand?

Jim,
Your idea is good, but important to know that, the ECU counts the air velocity/density,
if you open another air bath from the "Y" type(which is soo sensitive area) will not helps the air to comes in the
intake in proper velocity, the air that comes from above area (which you done) will clash to each other every time when
you increasing the speed,,
more air NOT always helps, it depends to the mass of air or the speed density of the ECU data/file.....
ZAYED,,

quoting myself to show that yes! adding random hoses CAN actually restrict the std tubes, with adding turbulence.
But does your buttdyno say the car runs harder, then it is
Your new added hoses does have filters mounted in the front of the car(not visible on photos)?
