C55 45k miles brake pad wear...?

I have owned my car for 45k miles and have still not had to replace the brake pads...? Is this weird? I haven't gotten a replace brake pad message on the computer.

My pads still had about 1/2 life left @ 80k or so. I travel mostly highway though. Take the wheel off and take a look?

I have looked and there is a lot of pad left! It just seems so odd to me that these pads last this long.

How hard do you drive your car and do you know what kind of pads are on there? Brake pads should typically last 50k miles or so, but if you still have plenty of life that's pretty sweet. Always nice to not have to replace stuff

My C55 original factory front brake pads and rotors lasted until 97k miles. The sensor went off on the dashboard recently so it was time to replace them. I just replaced the pads and rotors last weekend. Probably in a few weeks I'll replace the rear pads and rotors, even though the sensor has not gone off yet, and there is still pad life left.

Most of my travel is highway, very little in town driving and I don't drive it daily.
