What kind of 1/4 Mile is possible with 'stage 2' mods (365 RWHP)?

i'm definitely interested. i have the cash on hand but i just need to free up some time to go down and stay a night or two. been really busy. i'd likely do stage I, maybe II - for stage II, i got to rack up some cash considering install woule be more too with the headers i think. i'm in norcal, evosport is near LA? possibly i could make it around early Summer or Spring Break or so, i'll probably miss it if it's anytime during winter. hope this works out, i've had my eye on the evosport stuff for a while. thanks.

oh yeah - how much for install, for stage I and stage II? thanks.

btw, what size pulley are they selling now? are the actual odps the same in stage I and II? is 190mm safe - this will be my daily driver, say 10-15k a year? much appreciated.

I'm game for letting Evosport finish the R&D on the 190mm pulley before doing the group buy. I just want some basic stuff like stage 1 w/ the 190mm as a part of the package if its determined to be safe and reliable to run on 93 octane.

Accomplice,
that is fine that you want to wait for Evo to finish the R&D on the 190mm pully, but to be honest, I as well as some of the others are not looking into 190mm (am I right people?). I am looking at one notch up on the rung (175mm or what ever it is). I plan on having my car for a while and regardless of the initial testing, the longgevity of the engine will have not been tested.

What do guys think?

the bigger the pulley, the more boost and thus proportionally less engine longevity?

what's the standard size of the odps now in stage I, is stage II any different in terms of pulley size?

i'd be fine with the standard IMO if engine longevity is going to be a cost with the bigger pullies. this is going to be my daily driver, and i want lots of miles out of the c32 so standard for me is fine. if i want more power, stage II then?

any reason at all for decreased longevity with stage II as opposed to I? thanks.

There should not be too much difference in terms of wear between stage one and stage two.

Stage two just adds a new computer and headers I believe (plus misc. items). The major "wear" item is the initial change of the pulley, though we have been led to believe that the pulley systems should not drastically effect engine longevity.

Whenever an engine is producing more power, there is hypothetically more wear to the engine, and all drivetrain components (esp. tires ) With more fuel combusting, the pressure within the cylinder would be greater which can increase the change of all sorts of engine failures. However, unlikely at this level, esp. considering the strength of our engines.

Personally, i wouldn't worry too much about stage II. Not too much power for the block so you should be fine.

EDIT: Install cost for stage II

EVOsport just got back to me, install is $1350 and it takes 2 days. I guess I need to save up even more.

Darn, I really just want to stroke one check for $2,000 to cover parts and the install. I understand that the cheap little parts have to be priced to pay for the R&D that went into them but a tuner may want to think about getting 5-10 checks for $2K each in a small amount of time as something to consider. Plus that's probably getting that group of customers for life and subsequent mods. Plus they'd be keeping that batch of business from benefiting a competitor.

Hey Ronnie,
Was that the price quote for Stage II or I? hat seems a little high for just a pully and ECU.

wow, that's kinda high at first, but it's what i expected about.

$1350 for install for stage II, maybe cause the headers. do you have to take out the engine for that? on the e36 m3, header install was crazy so you had to take out the engine.

any idea how much to install stage I? thanks.

I just spoke w/ Evosport. I didn't mention anything about a group buy possiblity due to our lack of solid buyers. I don't think we should waste our time as well as Evosport's.
All I did was inquire about Stage I priceing.

ODPS = $1699 + $540 (install)

complet Stage I = $2890 there is no install charge for the ECU. Total = $3434

thanks, It pulls pretty hard.
Yes, Evo does have a Dyno. I believe they inlcude a dyno pull w/ the purchase of any performance product. You could probably do a before-and-after pretty easily.
