Heat Protection For Small Plastic Part In Engine Bay Of C55?

As we all know the engine bays of these AMG cars get hella hot. I am not sure exactly how hot they get but I am guessing at least 200 degrees on an average day? I have a small epoxied piece of plastic in a confined space between the intake and the secondary air pump (its the lower intake hose) C55. The epoxy that I used has a max heat rating of 200 degrees and I am looking for something to insulate the small space from getting any hotter. I also tried the high heat rtv but it slips right off when dry. I am at a point where I can still use something else to make this thing work. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I thought I would update this thread. I did not end up using epoxy or any glue. I ended up extending the hose. For heat protection I used a couple of layers of electrical wire shrink wrap. This will also make the hose last a lot longer. A lot of people already know about this but I thought I would reiterate it for us rookies.
