Thinking about M113K swap to C55
Hi, everyone. I have 06" C55 with some motor issue (burning a lot of oil and smoking in higher revs - probably piston rings, maybe something more...) and thinking about changing whole motor with low milage - not repair present M113.
And now is my question about swaping M113K with supercharger (476hp) into C55. There is someone who did this? I will probably need:
- engine of course
- engine harnes with ECU
- replace fuel pump
- what else?

If I had to do my upgrade over
this is what I would have done.
Its the best bang for the money and power and there is soooooo much more to get from it then.
E55 KOMPRESSOR ENGINE
HEAT EXCHANGER AND PLUMBING
NOT SURE IF YOUR MANIFOLD WILL WORK?
And another 100 small pieces to get this going but, only when you start the install you'll find that out.
best to find a E55 that was rear ended and get the complete engine and all the accessories.
I'll try to get the name the person who does the programming also don't be surprised that some people may not share info
But I know someone who did and may be willing to share info
Just imagine you can have about the same power as my C55 for peanuts My build was close to 50k.
another thing is you'll be quicker than the first gen C63.

Well, I met with my buddy who finished his swap everything looks good
But, thank the lord I did not attempt this.
He said it cost him about 60k cad.
Rebuilt 55k engine with E55 trans clk63 exhaust all kinds of neat stuff 3 years to build and lots of things that does not make sense to me.
I'm not sure if it was to discourage me .
But then again my build coat me 65k USD.
Yes I know, I could have bought this or that for the same money but didn't want this or that I wanted exactly what I built.
IF YOU HAVE THE TIME AND MONEY GO FOR IT
Contact Black Benz he seem to know about the programming and maybe cost of the swap.

I'm planning on doing it myself and the only part I need assistance with is the star coding of the vin. My contact owns a shop in Florida, he used to be a Mercedes tech but has since started his own thing.

You could do it for as low as $10k if you can find a good quality used engine, loom and ecu without needing rebuilding. Obviously the engine comes with 55K injectors, you will need a walbro or better fuel pump and a FPR/filter which will keep the pressure the ecu/injector combo are designed to work with in the E55, one member found a bolt in place VW one that worked perfectly. Unless the C55 has an internal FPR (CLK55 is external for most years).
Your main problem is finding someone who can code your ecu to the VIN. Stock C55 transmission should work fine. Then a few small pieces, heat exchanger, intercooler pump, some sort of intake solution, taking care of the aircon compressor, misc hoses etc. I would guess that the stock exhaust would bolt up since the block is the same.

Guys this may be irrelevant but on the dyno mode my car displays the engine to be an E55 M113 motor and not CLK55 M113. Anyone think this would help in starting the engine up or would I still require programming?

In dynomode my C55 with Kleemanntune shows "E55 M 113" too, since it´s the same tune for both models. Kleemann just namned it that.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but our version of the m113 is known as the m113-e55 by Mercedes. 4.3s are the m113-e43 and the 5.0s are m113-e50.
Not sure what the 55k engine code is...

The general engine mechanics seems fairly simple but if you could mention how you got the AC to work and the ecu, wiring sorted that would be fantastic, thank you!
