It should, on the c43 it did really well. And that box only needs one bell mouth. Not offering bell mouths unless asked for, and it will be $95.00 more from original price..

I really wish I had known you were going to change the product and further modify it before I purchased the now obsolete one lol. I can't shell out another 500 dollars for this but Ill send an email and see what you have in mind.

I'm sorry but I didn't know I was going to do this myself. I'm not like phone manufacturers where they know they are going to add something newer in the next model but they don't release it so they can keep making money. I will email you and we will work it out.

My airbox with bell mounts just arrived today and went straight on.
First thing i noticed was the change in engine note. Sounds deeper. Do you know the long the ecu takes to adapt? Only did 3 pulls in 3rd gear. Feels like torque is up. Most notable was that the speedo was climbing faster than I'm used to. I'll try it out some more tomorrow and will keep you guys posted.
reason í bought it was that im doing á kleemann header/downpipe install plus a eurocharged tune and thought it would make sense to get more air in to complement that upgrade. Doing dynos on all upgrades seperatly would cost me 700$ here so ill just do one when i'm done.
there are á few dyno results here on the forum for the klemann+tune without the airbox mod so we'll hopefully get some insight on how it performs.
first impressions are positive. I could feel an improvement right away so i'd think that the estimate 10hp and 10lbft are conservative numbers. Feeling such a small amonunt on a car with 364hp í think is suspect.

Thank you for your thoughts on this! I’m so glad it made it safe to Iceland. For my C43 it took 3 days driving low miles for the ecu to read the extra air going in.

Anyone interested in my next air box send me a pm or email at speed43mods@gmail.com.
And remember I can also mod your box if you're able to send it.

Thanks.

So, day 2 update. Done 100miles with some "spirited" driving. 1/2 tank of fuel gone and some more feel for the change in the car.
wasn't expecting to feel anything on the airbox alone But i was wrong.
definetly picks up quicker. More torque and the change in sound would be reason enough.
There is a very short straight on my way to work. Somerimes i floor the car when the light turns green and stomp on the breaks before í need to make a turn.. never gone much over 60mph before today.
needle went last 70 But my eyes were on the road so not sure how high it got.
Havent been able to max accelerate still cause im using hakkapellita 8 studded winter tires so from 0-30 i have to take it easy or i will get massive wheel spin and ruin the tires.
i'm so supprised that only a airbox could possibly make a difference. Almost to the point that spending +200$ on a dyno out of curiosity is starting to sound resonable.
secondary cats have been removed and kn filters put in But otherewise stock and running on 95okt fuel.
IMHO money well spent.

I tested the trc app, don't know how accurate it is.
did a 30-100 mph run. Struggled for grip cause of the studded 225/40 winter tires but here is the result..

Thumbs up

I got my Speed43 Mod Airbox and WOW it is hands down one of the best things I've purchased for my C55. Not only is his work phenomenal but George is very patient and awesome to work with. He even went out of his way to help repair a broken clip on my front engine cover that I thought was done for.

The main thing I can say about this Airbox mod is: WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!

I guess I was the first customer for George that requested to get their airbox painted black. Not only does it look beautiful in person, but the sound of the engine sounds great in the cabin and the throttle response is phenomenal. When in Sports/Manual mode, it's crazy responsive that once when I got into downtown San Diego, I had to put the car into Comfort mode as it was so tempting to floor it lol.

The tune I got for my C55 with Speed43's airbox mod is an absolute perfect combo.

His work is so worth it and I can't thank him enough for the hard work he put into my airbox. Don't even hesitate to get this mod for your C55.

I thought I had more pictures in my phone but these are the only ones I have of so far. I'll be sure to post more pictures when I get to it.

Thanks for taking the time to post your review! This will definitely help new and perhaps old viewers to order one.

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 576Nm :-)
Beside better throttelsensivity and (higher) intakesound, does it feel stronger att full throttel? Do you feel any gains when you blast on?

Great post, thanks for sharing your recent experience with Speed43! I think this is quickly making its way to my short list of to-do's on my new-to-me C55. Can you elaborate more on the tune you got?

Thanks! Sent you a pm..

Guys, I have ONE air box with the bell mouths on the sides left to sell. I'm not going to add them on the sides anymore to keep cost down and labor.

Btw, I'm also thinking I would like to offer something that will be the cheapest option possible for those on a tight budget.

If you guys have any ideas/suggestions let me know. Like to sell as many as possible...
