How was the rubbing situation on with those rims on your (former C32 aka: RIP) car?. I already have a set of 19' rims on my C32, I tried having on them the size of tires you have have on your HRE rims (front: 19x8.5 245/35/19, Rear: 19x9.5 275/30/19). On both, front and rear there was some horrible, horrible rubbing, on the front the tire rubbed against the shock/strut mount base, not to count it rubbed against the fender's interior plastic molding when you turned, and in the back, the tire simply didn't fit at all (my car has the AMG Euro suspension set, that is aprox 1.5 inches lower than the US edition suspension package).

I know the "rubbing" subject is probably one of the oldest items of discussion in the forum, about offsets, etc, etc.. the only tire size that run fine on my wheels are Tires: Front: 235/35 Z R19 Rear: 265/30 Z R19...

I am interested on your rims --I would have now a second set of rims... hmmm--. I read your posting for your rims on eBay, I am not good at eBay actions and bidding against people, etc, etc.

Pending that you are interested in selling your rims rather immediately, as you indicated on your posting in eBay: "They are in great condition because theyre almost new, i bought them new for $5,500 dollars, very nice rims", though as you mentioned on the board, your car apparently has been totaled, or you won't be using it anymore/selling it, etc, I would appreciate your feedback if you had any rubbing and/or work done in your C32... of if your tires you have just run fine with your car and most importantly, how much do you want for your wheels.

I definitely don't want to get on that for sure!!!.. haha.. from Mr MgnFicnT's post, it seemed he wants to move those wheels... though I have to say, if you pay 5grand for the wheels, I see it hard the posting at $1500.00... yet.. worse that reserve has not been met yet!!!.. that is why I asked, what is the price of the rims.. just get it from him.. what he is expecting to get.. and if so, then see... I don't really need the rims, as I have 19s already... lol.. the original 17's got literally thrown out the day I got my car... not to count that my wife would kill me (or worse!!!...lol) if I had a second set just sitting around... so while I get the answer I would have to do some thinking.

My plan is, depending on the price Mr MgnFicnT expects/wants for his wheels, I would make a dessicion... that is counted of couse, that you didn't go an just buy the rims out of his hands!!!...lol.
I have to agree with you on that one!!! (that is the size I have on my car)... infact, I got yelled out by the AMG people, when I called them about the size Mr MgnFicnT has... (I actually wanted 20" in the front and 22" in the rear and was quickly told that was a "nono"). I just want to hear from Mr MgnFicnT what was his experience with those tires

-Roll fenders
-Take out the interior fender padding (though the tire then will rub against the fender.. so still rolling fender is the solution)
-Put 255/35 R19 on the rear... which actually eliminated completely the rubing on my car... however, I opted to keep the 265's on the rear, I don't have often people in my car except my wife... if I have more, then I take other vehicles that I have (my big *** Lincoln Navigator )

Let's see what Mr MgnFicnT has to say... when I saw the eBay posting with yout bid on it and still not meeting the reserve, I just decided to write the posting I placed earlier... I am not good on bidding against, trying to meet the reservem etc,etc... normally my wife will post things at the "minimum" she is willing to take, then, the first bid is the actual "reserve" for her... ... then, that is why "reserves" exist on eBay (to make an extra buck to them I say!...lol)... so lets hear you Mr MgnFicnT...

actually i didnt rub that bad with that tire setup, i was just about get the H&R coilovers too, reserve it set right around 3500, if you wondering if the wheels are ok from the crash, yes they are. right now i just want to get a little more then the two grand people have been offering me for the wheels, ( so i can get some new ones for the E55

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question(s). I would be interested if you could give me a little bit more detail regarding your comment actually i didnt rub that bad with that tire setup..., the reason is, that I had that exact same set up, and the tires rubbed even going on an straight line, the car would start rubbing when the car went over 30 mph... though C32's don't have air suspension that could be credited why on an stright line drive the car had a VERY audible rubbing after 30mph, the only and best explanation was the downforce air has on the hood of the vehicle passed that speed, though it may sound far fetched, I was able to verift that claim (mathematically speaking as that is my main major), the faster the car went, the louder and scarier the sound would be... and that was only on a straight line... when turning in any direction with the tire set up you have, the tire would rub against the interior plastic fender cover. If you modified your fender(s) interior, or just drove it as it was, I would appreciate the information, or for that matter, as you mentioned, it appears you tolerated for lack of a better word, and drove your car with that rubbing???>.. instead of my wondering, please do share in more detail, that is if possible, of course.
As I mentioned to you on my previous posting, my understanding is, and, as you mentioned on your posting as seen immediately above, the rims have not been damaged, therefore, I am interested in purchasing your rims.
Please let me know, what price you are willing to sell the entire set. I live in the Los Angeles, California, so we will have to talk about shipping, insurance, etc if we can reach an agreement on the prce of your sale, which if reached today, I can wire you the money overnight or direct deposited into your account (I prefer to avoid paypal)

I was going to speculate what happened on the accident... I came up with some good "out there" thoughts...


-Head to head crash (playing "chicken"... if so.. whelp??? the chickens got fried!!)
-C32 suddenly decided to collide head to head with a parked car to test the air bags???
-Mustang was envious of the C32 and decided to Kamikaze into the C32

The list goes on and on and on...

That is why on the rubbing issue, instead of guessing, I just asked the owner... I have the same size rims (AZEV) and all the known "issues" have been checked... offset, the actual drilling of the rim, etc etc, etc... rims are fine without tire... wayyy to fine... you put the tire set Mr MgnFicnT has, I could drive... but only straight line, never turn and never go about 20 mph... at 30 you had a horrible noise while driving inside the cabin and outside the car as well as the rubber hit the mount plastic cover base for the coil (which is a black plastic cover)... no to count the turning... Hopefully Mr MgnFicnT will reply with his info.
