Fender swap vs. badging
My new-to-me C32 is almost completely devoid any body damage of any kind. The only sheet metal imperfections I've been able to find (not counting the many small chips in the paint) are on the front passenger side fender. There are some small, shallow dents. The previous owner gave me a spare fender with the car, that's in great shape, but even though it's already the right color it's from a non-AMG so is missing the "V6 Kompressor" badging. I can come up with a way to template and lay out the old badges on the new fender to get them located and spaced properly, but I wanted to check with the hive mind here on the best stick-um to use. In the past I've had good luck using 3M double sided foam tape for things like this but the foam in that stuff seems a lot thicker than whatever it is they use from the factory. Any advice?

I had to have my fender badges replaced when I hit a deer last year and had the front repainted.
The badges can be purchased from MB as a set, but oddly they are not taped on the top of the letters, only by the sticky back.
Not too hard to add a piece of tape on top, pull the backing, and stick in place.
If reusing the letters, it’s a lot of work to remove old stick, add stick tape to, align and prep for install. This might be a better option.
I’d call a dealer for a part number then scan the net for best pricing.
