18" Wheels - Need Tire Size Recommendations

My C32 Brothers,

I'm about to purchase 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 wheels both with 35 offset. I'm looking for Tire size recommendations and possibly pictures to see how they look on yours, would probably rather tire stick out past wheel a bit to prevent scratches of the new rims. Please advise, thank you. Here is a picture of the rim. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...ec0f6ca6ae.jpg

225 40/18 fronts and maybe 255/35/18 rears for one suggestion.

i thought i ready on the forum to go with 235 and 265, would that look odd? anyone has that on their 18s? if i'm not mistaken to keep the rims from getting damaged so the tire would protect them

I run 235/40/18s up front with zero issues, but can't run 265/35 rears because it barely rubs on the driver's side. Only a couple of us have had this issue, but it forces me down to a 255/35. Doesn't look as meaty and cool, but doesn't rub or affect the handling. I do think upsizing the fronts to 235s from the factory 225s helps a tad with understeer.

Thanx for the help, yes i think i mean 235 and 255 not 265, do you have pictures of yours? i just want to see how much tires stick out over the wheel and also how flush they are with the car.

No pics due to photobucket but they give a bit more protection than stock sizes and even stock sizes don't sit completely flush with the wheels.

this all depends on offsets, with the ones you listed i would run spacers, but i would want to just get lower offset wheels to begin with. people have some side shots here to show the differences, please chime in with pics to show how close. Yes theres a wheel and tire thread, but this is more specific

thanks!
Pete
