Possible Intercooler pump or Electric Booster 2003 C32 AMG

I think I may have a bad intercooler pump. But want to make sure before I buy a part.

I had a bad alternator. I changed it out. But in process had to move so coolant pumps out of way and had to drain coolant. Now where I screwed up is. I started engine to test alternator before adding coolant. I turned it off as soon as I noticed. I added the 2 gallons.
I drove my car to work the next day, about 20 miles away. It starting to run rough. Like rough rough idle at lights and started to get a weird noise as I pulled into lot. I check fluids, all was ok. I worked all day then drove home. About 15mins into trip car just really lost ALL power. I push to hard on peddle and I thought it was going to die. I got it into a parking lot at 15mph max speed. I spent 30mins trying to figure out what is wrong. Couldnt figure it and tryed one more time to get it the last 10mins home. It was rough but it drove without power lose until I was almost home. Then I lost all power again and just barely limped in. Felt like I was driving on 2 cylinders.
Thanks for any help.

It is definitely not the IC cooling pump. If it was it would not idle or run rough it would just act like it had maybe 200hp but run just fine.

Not sure of your exact issue, can you check for codes?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but sounds like it blew a head gasket, intercooler pump only makes a difference when your foot is firmly on the pedal and you are accelerating hard. It has no effect on your idle or slow driving.

Most of the codes are miss-fires and would be related to starting the engine for a minute without coolant. If you did not have any of the rough running issues before the alternator replacement then could you have possibly knocked loose a coil wire or something. Have you checked to see if the alternator is outputting 14+ volts to the battery? Maybe the new alternator is bad and the rough running is due to low voltage.

I replaced Spark Plugs and Wires. They needed it anyways. Did not fix it. I will run new codes tonight and post my finding. The only other thing I didnt include. Is once its warmed up. The roughness has a sound to it. Its almost like a womp womp sound.
