The day after I got my COUPE, I said to myself, man I wish this thing was an AMG... I kicked myself when I found out there was a C32 AMG COUPE made in Europe, but calmed down a bit when I found out that it was NOT available in the US. Since then, I've been modding my COUPE to resemble as much as possible the European C32 COUPE. AMG spoiler, AMG Sway Bars, AMG Brakes, AMG Wheels, and still after AMG Suspension Kit, AMG Exhaust, and other AMG interior upgrades. Granted, I'll never have enough $$$ to actually install a Supercharged AMG V6 in my COUPE, in that case, I'd just buy a C32 or C55. But I do think that I've added enough AMG components to justify the AMG badge on the back of my car. For engine strength, I'll probably add a pulley kit and some other HP upgrades, to put me a cut above your regular V6 C320 Coupes. So call me a baby-AMG. I'd like to think that my COUPE will be the "11th" AMG C32 COUPE and somehow made it to US shores. At least in my mind. I love what I drive. AMG makes me happy, and so I put the badge on !

I agree..it shouldn't be re-badged with the C32...thats just stupid....if u buy a C230 then keep it that way or de-badge it but don't label something that its actually not!....

The True OG Modded out W203
I never had any troubles differentiating a M3 vs a 325/330 with M kit, yet I do have a heck of a time telling the difference between those new AMG kitted C Classes vs C32's....Big mistake but then again maybe MB made it like that so people will buy the C55 to really stand out.

the differences (kinda long)
for Mercedes the C class AMG models for the US only came as sedans... with all the new sports sedan models it makes it hard to differentiate between a C32 or the 230K ss, until you lift the hood.. with everybody updating the lights and such. Compared to the C55 where it will have quad exhaust tips, only a few will try to imitate that look so it stands at a higher level.. As for BMW they have different front bumpers with their sports, performance and M models... Their sports and performance front bumpers are not exactly look like the M bumper.. that's what puts them apart... anyone else want to add to this???

for me it's pretty easy to tell the 05 from my own car.
if you saw it coming up from behind check the three-slate grille. if you saw it in front of you look at the tail light and the exhaust.
when i saw the 05, they just usually had a different feel than when I saw another C32.

I had a C32 which I sold for a larger AMG. Two weeks ago, I took delivery of a C230k 2005 as a daily driver/work car and I can say its not an AMG. Is it how it looks or how it drives that matters? I personally love the C230k for it weighs just 3100 lbs while a C32 is a bit heavier at 3650 lbs. Are both cars great? Sure. Is the C32 any less because the C230k looks like it? Of course not! Its has a seriously upgraded lump under the hood and some other little things too!
Yes the USA is clearly different. My E55 has no deck lid badges for a reason… my C32 was nameless as well!
