Depends on the dealer's allocation. My dealer's allocation was for production to begin end of August. I placed my deposit first week of July. I just got a call yesterday saying my car is done and waiting to get on the boat, so hopefully 2 more weeks! That would put me at about 60-70 days from the time I placed my order, but certainly could be longer if the dealer had a limited allocation (My dealer had only 2 cars allocated to it)

Hey MarcusBenz, its me ML430, I updated my username a few months ago so it logs on as 99ML430 once in awhile. Anyway, I want the car with birdseye maple and the phone (hands free). I have yet to see one with either of those options. Also I am in the process of selling off two other cars and 2 motorcycles most of which needs to be taken care of before I take delivery.

The local dealer has a well optioned black one, but not with the birdseye or hands free.

I am not sure why that is, maybe it's due to the fact that they just arrived & our webmaster has not uploaded the pics. But, I am not 100% positive, except for the fact that they are in stock.

I currently have a Diamond Black car with Lighting, Premium, Nav & Black Maple that is at the port waiting to be shipped. I can add the phone to that car at the VPC and you will get the same price as if you had originally had ordered it from the factory. I ordered this car myself, as I had not seen a car with the Black Maple either. I think it will look very good and that one should be arriving in about 25 days or so! Is that addition for the MOST telephone interface? It is my understanding that the cradle is also available, but the MB / Motorola V710 handset is currently unavailable, due for release at the end of September / beginning of October. Is that correct?

You are somewhat correct. If you order a car with the Hands Free Communication system, the car will have the core kit installed a the VPC when it arrives in the US. From that point the cradle & handsets are now provided at the dealership level. This is due to the cradle being handset specific and only the V60's are currently available. The V600/710 will not be released until later in the fall. Also, as of right now, the Verizon cradle is on back order due to supplier issues and they are not sure when they will be available. The AT&T version can be had when picking up the car and there are no current supply problems with those.
