Is there an adapter for aftermarket radios?

Hi All,

I'm interested in installing an aftermarket radio and was wondering if there is an adapter which will allow copper to fiber-optics connection?

What options do I have if there's no such adapter available?

Does your car have factory CD-changer? If not, there's no fibre optic cable. You can just take out the headunit. If yes, you have to give up the CD-changer.

My car does not have the factory cd-changer...

Hi Harris,

My car has the factory cassette unit only. I've been digging around and so far, everyone says that I can't just plug in any aftermarket radios because of the fiber-optic cable connections that's in my car. I thought that the cable connection from radio reciever to amp to speakers are all fiber-optics. Is this not true?

Please direct further...

Thanks
