They are not street legal in the U.S. - the ones that have been imported are for "show use" only.

Not exactly.... On a show and display permit, one is able to drive them up to 2500 miles per year.

They still must comply with EPA regulations. Getting a CLK DTM in the US and certified is a costly affair.....
