ok so i need some help

ok guys here it goes, my maf went bad i check engine light came one hooked up the obdll scanner got code p0100 so i changed the maf, check engine light went away, next day light came one again hooked up the reader again and got p0170 and p0173 but no p0100 , car runs alot better since i replaced the maf but has a weird idle sometimes when in park idle rises and lowers by itself and car seems slugish, any ideas on how to fix this? i was thinking maybe a cloged injector or bad fuel filter ?.

Take the route of least expense first-change the fuel filter. It's so easily overlooked, while your at it,check the air filters too! You didn't state your mileage but O2 sensors may be the next item on the block. There's 4 of them and yes,I would change all of them...that bill isn't gonna be cheap.

p.s. - it make take a few miles for the ecu to adapt to the new maf.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Remove the maf

and make sure you have no kinks or uneven areas in the intake tube or that you over tightened or under tightened the intake tubes to and out of the maf.You may have an air leak leading to the 2 fuel trim codes you are now displaying and the loping idle.An air leak will do that.
I hope you did purchase a real maf from autohausaz.com and not off some ebay vendor selling those chinese clones

Mercedes
The cheapest thing to do(pending gas prices) is to let the car idle for three minutes, while stationary in park.

If that doesn't work, you are probably looking at some new HO2s.

You didn't mention the year and make. C36 wire harness going bad can cause all sorts of intermittent rough running and strange codes.

its a 99 c43, i got the maf from german star the only thing i can think of is to change plugs fuel filter since i believe have never been changed, car has 86k, another thing is the air leak witch might be possible becaude when i put in the maf the elbo after the maf that goes into the manifold seemed to be loose i just thought it was normal anyone know if that elbow is cliped in or is it tightened.
