Anyone have any experience with the AMS stage 2 kit for the C43?? There are claims on the website about better gas mileage and MORE power. Anything that will give me more power AND BETTER gas mileage WILL be installed on my C43. Please let me know if you have installed this kit on your car or know someone who has.

not sure its worth the money honestly. for another grand you can source a 5.4 engine and that's a 45 hp / 95 torque gain

The parts are transferable anyways so it doesn't really make a difference. That shouldn't stop you from upgrading the 4.3L. I agree the 5.4L swap is a great mod for the 4.3L application but most people simply don't want to do it b/c its a bit intensive for most light modders.

With that said, a W202 C55 w/ Stage 4 setup would be an absolute monster.

AMS no longer does C36 parts anymore as the C36 customer base simply doesn't have the capital for modding. AMS dropped almost all of its 6-cyl line and strictly provides performance products for the V8s. Contrary to popular belief there is simply no demand in the 6-cylinder market, lots of chatter but very little action.

It was only curious thought that led me to asking, as, like you said, very little is out there for performance modding 6cyl's (our 36's atleast)

Yes, its unfortunate b/c its such an amazing engine. The problem is the C36s are so low in price now ($5-7k) that any mod becomes a disproportionately large % of the entire vehicle value. For this reason its hard to really develop parts for it. Its a shame b/c our C36 headers were absolutely gorgeous but we only did one prototype and quickly dropped it due to almost zero demand.

This whole STAGE idea is also very popular in the Honda community. Care to explain what these stages represent? Why stop at Stage 4 on the 5.4L, wouldn't I want Stage 10 instead?

Sure,

Stage 1 = Headers (or) pulley
stage 2 = Headers + Pulley
Stage 3 = Headers + Pulley + high flow 2nd cats
Stage 4 = Headers + Pulley + high flow 2nd cats + ECU upgrade

who said we were stopping at stage 4? , more to come

Did these (Stage 2 package) ever come back into stock? I know you guys still have the pulleys but did you ever get the headers also?
