Akebono Brake Pads
Has anyone actually used Akebono Brake Pads for your W202? I heard that these brake pads will keep your wheels virtually free from brake dust, which makes your wheels clean all the time, and offers extreme stopping power that drivers expect from a performance brake pad. In addition, these advanced ceramic brake pads are made from extremely rotor-friendly formulations, which are kind to both standard and slotted rotors. How are their performance?
Sorry, I know that this question has already been asked in another forum but I actually want the opinion from a W202 user who has Akebono pads on their W202.
Here's the link: http://www.akebonobrakes.com/index.asp
Any info is much appreciated. Thanks!

Akebono pads
I've had them on my C43's front brakes for about a year now - they are fantastic - NO brake dust at all. Makes my back wheels look terrible by comparison (I have new rotors and pads coming for those). I've been very pleased with them.

I had the Porterfields before and I had some problems with them. They wouldn't stop squeaking. They were ok with the dust, but I feel like the Akebonos are better. Of course some people have had bad experiences with Akebonos also.

Thanks for the input guys, not sure what pads I am running now (came with the car) but I DEFINITELY get brake dust and they SQUEAK if I don't keep them clean on a regular basis. My next pads will definitely be these akebono's

Good to know that Akebono Brake Pads are awesome. I'll be changing mine after the labor day weekend. I really hate it when my wheels are too dirty because of the brake dust and I keep on cleaning them every other day

I browsed the Tirerack site and, there seems to be some good reviews from other customers buying these Akebono Euro pads.
However the rating for stopping power was only 3/5 for this pad.
I know my Porterfields R4s doesn't stop the same way as my factory Jurid pads.
Jurids are by far better in braking but dust like crap!
I guess these aftermarket sportpads with other type of compound than OEM factory pads, needs a little more harder stepping on the brakepedal to stop the car the shortest way and this is because of the friction and compound of the pad.
Am I correct?
Here's the link to tirerack, I've chosen the C32 pads.
They have these pads for cheap money.
Any other webshops selling those pads?

I would imagine the same would apply to a W202 and since I do not track my car it sounds like these are what I am looking for. Thanks for the input Marcus, a well researched opinion as usual

Some pics I took today before washing the car. In the front I have the Brembo pads and on the rear I have the Akebonos. This is one full week of driving. You can really see the difference. First pic is the Brembos and second is the Akebonos.
