Best Plug wire set? In Need

Yea I need new plug wires. I am getting a random missfire every few weeks. Any suggestions or am I to just wing it? Seems a large disparity of quality and price on ebay from 40 bucks to 140. Who has had luck with a particular set? Thanks in advance. JJ

Magnecor KV85 wires for me Some say the OE wires is more than enough, or else stuff from Bosch or Beru. Some snake wires around so beware

I would stick with OE quality, one of the major names like Bosch, NGK or Beru. On my old Saabs, the Magnecores didn't last as long as their price premium would suggest they would. A decent OE replacement would be suitable for most driving situations.

thanks fellas. I was on Rock auto.com last night and was like WTF there are seven or eight different plug wire sets to choose from and they have disclaimers like you need this or that with them.

Then Looked at rotors and pads and over fifty different pads to choose from and like fifteen different rotors to choose. I wonder if there are any drilled rotors I can buy.....

OEM sucks period. I say that because I get a lot of heat from my SC and I need better wires. If you want to watch the money I would go with the Magnecor KV85 pretty good set of wires. If you don't care about the money you could get the Evosport wire which are $500 which I have.

This sucks as we have conflicting info from 2 knowledgeable members I was thinking about getting the Evosport wires when my wires went bad.

amgmaster4343 do you have the same issue with the Evosport wires not sitting properly on the plugs core??

I purchased "2" sets ($470) for each set, almost 10 months ago, my friend also had an Engine shaking from these wires, some gap from the

wire connectors causes that,, many great items you can get from Evosport, but the wires are NOT that good, at least in my & friend

case........!?!

To be fair, amgmaster's supercharger is a different ball game than a stock, NA application. Unless you are doing the same, I would see no issue in using a quality, OE replacement brand.

If you are really keen on going with aftermarket stuff, then you can always fabricate your own wires. I've done it before, but mind you my Saab turbo 4-cylinder only had the four wires, you need sixteen for the M113...

wow thats crazy, well I never had a problem with the evosport stuff. I still have them but I'm now using custom 10mm racing wires. Since you are charged as well you may want to go custom.

I found the Magnecor wires for sale at Alamo Motorsports for $165, which includes shipping, for anyone looking to purchase. I have not seen any first-hand reviews of the Magnecor wires???

What's the quality of the bosch vs the magnecor?

The Bosch are all out of stock currently.

Bosch is the OEM supplier and there are many owners with 10+ year old cars that are still running their original wires. That's not to say Magnacore doesn't make a quality product, but rather that Bosch does.

I am stumped.. Some of these have a lot of options... What should I be focused on? I just cut and paisted this from Rock auto.com It seems I have to buy the boots seperately. Do I need those or do I use the old ones I just wish it was easy to buy parts on line. Where is that easy button???
