timing belt vs timing chain in c43
do our cars have a timing chain or a timing belt? or both? i know some cars are driven by both where the crankshaft is chain driven.

I think some Hondas have both a timing belt and a timing chain. The timing chain in these cases is usually an auxiliary drive unit running the variable camshafts, fuel pump, oil pump, or other accessories. On most applications, a timing belt drives the actual camshafts.

i think my nissan beater has this. one belt for accessories. id think most late 90s car have this interference built in. two belts. one for cams. the other for all other pulleys right?
