Is there any there that will post to Australia and include a pair of mounts?

The shipping cost is pretty expensive to pay twice!

Ok so i used the Corteco E55K mounts, and theyre softer than the BOGE ones that were in there, and they were W210 E55 mounts.

The starter hits on my steering box, even though ive got about an inch clearance between the starter and the heat shield.

These new mounts came out of a Corteco box with the correct part number, however the mounts have no numbers and no evidence it was ever removed.

What is going on here???

Who here has a right hand drive C43 that has put in a 5.4 engine where the starter is on the right? How do i get this bloody thing to stop hitting the starter on the steering box?

Yeah stay well clear of Corteco. total rubbish.

Sounds like someone installed a lhd 5.4 in your rhd chassis?, starter should be on the left side for you.

The 5.4 from a CLK has the starter on the left, but from an E its on the right.

Ok, ordered genuine mounts from a dealer part supplier over here.

My tailshaft center bearing or mount is buggered, and my front power windows stop working after a couple days... Disconecting battery for 2 minutes fixes windows every time.

Likely fix for your front window troubles is one or both rear door modules are faulty, the modules are part of the motor assembly. you will likely find your key when locking/unlocking doesn't work long distance over radio freq because can bus is being pulled down, eventually when it gets really bad IR stops working and you will need mechanical key to unlock boot and reset with battery disconnect method you described.

Good luck with the engine mounts!

100% rear door modules faulty, one or both. unplug individually and see if key starts working long distance again

My sunroof also is on the brink from time to time. Reprogram the unit bit it holds a short while then goes out again

I have K-mounts, NO problems with starter hitting steering box!
You might find K-mounts a bit stiff for your liking if you have your car slammed to the ground with lowering springs?
I like my setup

when the BOGE W210 E55 mounts were first fitted there was not hotting for the fist couple months, so heres hoping these W211 E55K genuine mounts are even stiffer and will last longer.

Im getting the center bearing in the tailshaft replaced as well as its rooted, and the trans connector is leaking so its being replaced as well as fluid and filter in trans.

Had a bit of an issue with off idle hesitation recently, worse when cold, so i threw on a new MAF which made a difference, but its not completely gone. I put a can of LIQUI-MOLY intake cleaner through there as well, which although there was not much smoke, seems to have helped a bit too.

I took the throttle body apart to clean the throttle position sensor which has improved throttle smoothness, but these older throttle bodies dont seem to suffer nearly as bad as the newer versions that have the plastic cover over the motor/TPS section.

I havent checked my spark plugs, but they only went in around 40,000klms ago and theyre Bosch OEM. Plug leads replaced with genuine Bosch OEM Mercedes Benz lead set about 12 months ago.

Need to look at new lifters and new valve stem seals i think.

So after all that, the centre bearing kit they got was wrong, so that still needs doing, and my radiator split while it was in the workshop, which is really bloody lucky really, because it was the original one and couldve gone at any time. Well the downside is there is only one available in Australia, and its taking a few days to get.

Still not got the car back yet, and itll still need the centre bearings done.

Ive been driving around the 2004 W203 C200K 2 door, you dont relise how powerful the 5.4ltr is until you have to go back to the little supercharged 4cyl, although quite a capable car it is... Handles great with the KONI orange shocks and H&R sport springs i fitted to it last year. This 2 door would rip sh** up with the C32 engine trans and diff fitted to it, throw in the AMG C32 swaybars and i reckon itd be pretty amazing really.

itd be even better if i could find what is hitting or rubbing when i turn hard left... Surely cant still be the starter motor, not only were the new mounts stiffer, theyre 1/8" taller as well.

Something rubs and hits when i turn hard left, and im stuffed if i know what it is, its coming from the right front corner, i cant see anything else rubbing anywhere, so i dont think it is in the suspension.
