NGK - Sparkplugs which ones are the best for M113?
Would you say these are cold plugs or standard plugs?
Do these plugs PFR5R-11 work perfectly with all M113 engines for all AMG cars from w202 C43 up to S-class w220 S55AMG, or are there better plugs available?

What was the MB service replacement intervall for these plugs, every 4 years or every 40,000km's?

The NGK PFR5G-11 is the standard Laser Platinum plug for M113 engines and also the V6 M112 engines. The Laser Series have a platinum center electrode and platinum pad ground electrode.
There are also 2 other plug references:
OE Laser Iridium: IFR5D10
Iridium IX: BKR5EIX-11
The ratings are by increasing quality as follows:
3. Laser Platinum
2. Laser Iridium
1. Iridium IX
The heat ratings of NGK plugs go from lower number which are hot to higher for cold. The 5 is a for hot plug and 7 is cold. So the three type plugs above are hot plugs as they ALL have the #5 in the ID reference.
All this info is to be found on the official NGK site.
If I recall, the plugs are good for 100k km but probably should be changed every 4 years. This so that the thread does not suffer damage when removing the plug.
By the way, have you thought of going for Bosch plugs? That's what I have in all my engines with never a problem.
Good price on the e-bay link you found

so the laser platinum plugs are the cheapest and lowest quality plugs sold for M113 engines?
even if these are the lowest quality plugs available from NGK, NGK never made a bad quality plug.
are these NGK PFR5R-11 plugs standard fit on our engines from factory?
intervall was 100000km's or every 4 years replacement recommendation.
i foggot it's 100000km replacement intervall, i thought it was 40000km's plug intervall which turns out to be replacement intervall for airfilters.
I don't drive my car that much, nailing 100000km's will take me 4-ever to pass on my odometer.
i've never considered using Boss plugs as I never liked them, I have only used jap quality plugs on my cars.
what's the pro's vs cons for cold vs hot plugs?
thanks
