Passenger Footwell Panel

Hi All,

I need to replace the insulation for the passenger footwell panel (the panel you drop to access cabin filter and blower motor).

I found the panel via the dealer, but the diagram does not show if the insulation is included with the new panel or if I can even get the insulation insert separately.

Is it really important, with or without insulation, but I guess it must come with. I havn't checked to see if the two parts seperate easily

It's important to me, because I took the car through the touchless wash and had the climate control on (and thus, the fresh air actuator flap was open) and when I hit the gas, the lurch caused a foam party in my cabin - soaked the filter and the insulation. Drains were clear; not sure how/why it happened.

Anyway, after looking at the panel, it has a 208 part #. Apparently both the 202 and 208 panels are interchangeable. Mine has the insulation glued (apparently). Not sure if that's factory or not as I'm questioning if the C43 even came with the 208 panel.

I think I got a spare one. Post a pic or part number just to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

Part # for the 208 one that I have: 2086800636.
Part # for the 202 one: 2026806836

Only difference is placement of holes (and thus insulation will be slightly different).

Let me know if your insulation is removable or if it's glued to the panel.

A small piece broken off on one corner but should be good. Pay for shipping and its yours.

I don't understand, did you take your car to an automated wash where you sit inside your car and tranny is put in neutral, car is pulled forward by roller on track?

your car had the ignition on and the ac was still blowing?
I think when you hit throttle, your car jumped back and forth, all the water stuck in certain place flooded your fire wall and leaked inside cabin
did you have lots of water leaking into cabin floor soaking your carpets?
if you don't remove those mats drying out damp you'll end up with internal rust under the mats!

roller tracks in auto wash are very tight and narrow, if you have nice and wide rims you might end up getting them curbed!
I wouldn't wash my car in an auto wash
