C43/55 intake manifold

Hi all,

What is the difference between the C43 and E55 intake manifolds? What is the part number and approximate price?

Thanks

I also confirm.
The EPC gives the same # A113 140 07 01 for either 43 or 55, N. America or ROW

They supercede to the same but the originals were different both in part number and performance. I have both and switched back and forth numerous times, the difference is clear.

How much power does your car make to the wheels? did the eurocharged tune make a big difference on how the car drove?

Is this newer manifold a straight swap on a Euro spec car?

Ok, so what is Benzslo refering to?

I would like to replace my manifold because at some stage it has been opened up, and there seems to be a vac leak somewhere that is related to the flaps control. The re-sealing job done on the manifold is not overly bad, but sure isnt factory perfect either.

I don't know Exactly what "Benzslo" meant..!,

the only info. i knew that, AMG used a differ light copper the door flaps & polished the surface of the air bath of first version C43, for their best track time, and that was on "Fab/1998",

also AMG done the same on their special Edition of "Slk55 Black serious" on "Aug/2005" with carbon fiber airbox & MAF housing,,

but there's NO special or modified intake manifold that MB officially provided for "M113"..!!

If you have leak in hose only, you can replace it, but this process needs reseal upper/lower together,

this is really the hard point on that..!,,

but if you have leaks in more places, then replace the whole unit & goooooooooo..

Whats the best way to find out if you have a vacuum leak??

Without the user of expensive star tool or dealer fees

What I do is spray carburetor cleaner or the like when engine is COLD. I spray all areas I suspect a leak. If there's a leak the engine idle will rise. Once engine warms up I stop spraying. Sure you can imagine why...

Of course you can also check the Rpm idle needle and see if it moves up and down. A bad air leak will make it fluctuate.

My rpm needle sometimes moves up and down slightly when at idle.

Im suspecting this means I have a vacuum leak. This would explain my loss of power at low rpm.

Benzslo was right! @alexanderpaul986 did dyno pulls with the older c43 intake and the newer 55 intake and the newer 55 made 12 more HP and a crazy 52 more ft/lb of torque. heres the dyno charts as well

Hehehe, that's really funny,

i swapped complete 5.4l Engine from "2005 C55" last month into my friend's C43, i pulled out the intake manifold to compare it to mine, NO any difference..!,

put it on dyno, he got (260kW; 358hp), (508Nm 376lb/ft),

i pulled out my stock C43 manifold, and dyno the car after that,,

he got the SAME results..!!!!,
