I haven't opened the link yet, but I am guessing you posted the black Renntech one in FL.....LOL

nkctb7 04-11-2018 02:07 PM

Not worth the $$$ for RENNtech add ons. However, being that there were only 23 MY2000 AMG C43’s in North America, it is very rare. Give or take another 5-10 years and it may fetch that price.

C280 Sport 04-11-2018 07:23 PM

The car is absolutely beautiful no doubt. I would totally buy it. Near perfect as you can get from the pics. But common... It is still just a W202 at the end of the day and not anytime soon I see it worth $40,000. Especially with 100k miles.

W202 Life 04-11-2018 08:10 PM

It is beautiful for sure...I think it is the best looking c43 out there...maybe...lol...I have seen some good looking ones...but yeah maybe 10k to 15k tops...too many miles...it is a 2000 year...that is very rare though...

DRBC43AMG 04-12-2018 10:51 AM

The ad doesn't show price, just price on request. Also the 2000 MY has the newer tiptronic transmission.

W202 Life 04-12-2018 11:07 AM

They have it listed for 39999....about 20k overpriced...haha...

mickey13 04-12-2018 01:32 PM

we should thank this guy, he is probably driving up the value of this model

c230kris 04-12-2018 02:40 PM

I got my black on black 99 C43 from the same seller in 2013 and I can only speak highly of him. He travels all around the continent to pick the c43's that are still clean but I remember he had a CLK DTM too.
The price is right for the right buyer.

PJmak 04-12-2018 03:11 PM

Unfortunately the price is not right.

Theres a low mile(stock) c43(under 70k for under half that)

Theres no reason for that car to be 40k

Technically a stock collectible(potentially) car will be worth more

i think this is a true statement, the price is right for the right buyer

i noticed the ad says two master keys, I wonder if that means two original keys - that would be very nice. the tune and airbox I think was like $3k
headers, have no idea what the renntech headers look like, but there are no more headers for this model available, you will have to pay 3 to 5 for custom headers.
2 set of sweet rims, if perfect let's say 3 which I think is low, the engine and transmission at 40k might worth around 5k, around 2k for the suspension. few other little things we will call 2k.

thats no less than 20k in parts alone without labor or diy time. top that off with the fact that it's a 2000 model. reasonably speaking this vehicle has at least low to mid 30k in value. he is asking 40. normally when someone does mods to a car, buyer will say fy not my problem, I'm not paying for them. these mods aren't tacky like gold plated 22 inch rims or purple suede with the previos owner initials in embossed in yellow.

i think he will get his asking or near to it if he finds a thoughtful collector or buyer. some ppl are worried that they are getting value for their money and some ppl really don't care about money, I think he could probably sell this car to either type of person, but he can't sell this car to a person who really doesn't have the money to spend on this car.

I don't think seller is stupid or out of his mind. this is a good sale price if you want it. plenty of other cars to choose from if you can't rationalize the cost.

W202 Life 04-12-2018 05:09 PM

It will just sit longer than it has already...somebody would pay about 20k for it eventually but the market for these cars as you guys know is very very small...you have to find the one guy that would buy it...lol...and for 40k he can buy a C63...or an E63 for that matter...haha

mickey13 04-12-2018 05:56 PM

here is a big problem imo.
he doesn't have the right floormats. for 40k it should come with the right floormats. as stupid as it sounds, I would walk on the deal just for this reason.

For $40,000 that W202 better be MB Museum quality and MB Classic center quality + the professionally done mods! Does not sound stupid at all especially how over the moon and back crazy it would be to pay this price.

cm60k 04-12-2018 08:54 PM

Whaaaaaaaaaatttt, 40K..

That guy contacted me last year about buying mine. I've seen that car for sale for a long time. Being a rare 2000 MY means nothing when the car isn't original. I think my c class is better than that and I can't get 10k!
That guy is just fishing, all it takes is for one super rich mega millionaire to see it and it trips their trigger, they don't care if it's 400% over normal market value.
It's a little ricey for my tastes..

My ears were ringing...
New owner (on this forum) can confidently say he's got the baddest mother fuxxing C43 in the US.

That car is absolutely gorgeous.

I think we can all agree that 40k is too much and thats why it hasnt sold for that price.

An example like that for mid 20s is a fair price for someone who really wants and must have it and is planning to keep it long term.

I know right now Im willing to overpay for the right c43 if it comes around just because of the rarity. Certain colors and years are super rare, i think everyone here knows that.

This is a 2000 model with four thousand dollar super rare wheels and a 5.4 swap plus more and it happends to be pretty mint.

My goal is to have this same setup but in a different color and to me thats priceless just because w202 is sinply my favorite car by far.

I have a super nice w203 c55 but it doesnt excite me like that. The w203 has mods worth more than what the car is worth but id take a nice c43 over it all day
