Nürburgring 2018 lap
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...205311dbc.jpeg Hi all hope you all well just got back from the ring had a great time the car is getting faster but still got load of tyre rubbing from the front tyres so I just put on some spacers for the front suspension springs that KW sent me. I might go 255/35 18 for the front if I can get the height and I’m changing to nankang ar 1 tyres the Michelin cup tyres nearly cost me a serious crash. |
My lap

Good run. What happened to that tire? Digging into the rim of the wheel or what? That's crazy.

No it’s a known problem with the cup 2 tyre I was told while I was over there so Michelin are know bringing out the cup 2 R and Porsche have switched to pirelli https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...41766f165.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...fbc8b78b8.jpeg |
Well they are rubber band thick so I guess the sidewall, or what that can be called so, is put to some serious strain
Sounds also like the rubbing is important also  |
Just put the spring spacers on lol there to big there 30mm I need 15mm https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...7a286d008.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...9014ab512.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...4ce4b7a36.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...a1a37bc20.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...9113f1b2e.jpeg |
Have look at this |
Interesting video. Michelins have always had flexible sidewalls, but guess they have some problem solving to do. If Porsche leave for Pirelli, that's certainly a sign
