Any fuse gurus here?

So I am wanting to use the "add a fuse" to power a dashcam. The fuse location I am wanting to use is in the trunk and when I look at the fuse chart, there is a warning/attention notice that says something about "you must use a fuse that has a letter N". So if you look at the fuses its like 15N, 20N...etc.

I searched the entire internet not coming up with anything in that regards. Do you guys know where to find such fuses?

It means they are nickel plated and if you use incorrect fuses it can lead to corrosion in the fuse box. There are also silver plated fuses in Mercedes now.

Thanks for the info. Most fuses I've seen in local auto stores doesn't state if they're nickel plated or not. How can you tell?

If they are nickel plated they simply have to N next to the amp rating like you see in your car. If they are silver plated then they have an S.

So then if they don't state, it just means its lead based? And if so, I can still use it but just risk the corrosion correct?
