I'm about to put in an order for the C43 touring edition. Is a switchpath on the way for it? should I wait a little bit or will there be a way to convert the touring edition to a switchpath?

I think the Awe touring is a perfect match for the C450, but Josh, how does it compare with the C43 with the performance exhaust? I was under the impression that if you already have the C43 with performance exhaust, the Awe touring is not an improvement sound wise. Am I wrong?

I am personally on the fence between Track and Touring. I am concerned the touring system won't be obnoxious enough. My mom drives a louder car than I do, and its just not right. Even my wife noticed how much quieter my car is, and this is a problem for me. Is the Touring system noticeably louder than the stock c450 exhaust?

FWIW NYCSoil has said his sedan with AWE Touring sounded better than his Coupe with PE sounds.

I got the touring for my C450 and yes its definitely louder than stock...crackles and pops are much more noticeable in Sport+ (I even get an odd pop in C).
The exhaust will get louder once driven for a few weeks and there is moderate drone at certain rpm ranges but very bearable for me at least.

You are correct, pal
You mean you're hearing the exhaust note become rowdy in some spots of the range vs others when going through gears? When we tune our 180 Technology®, we tune for steady state situations (i.e. highway) and for a certain frequencies. With that said, regardless of the RPM, the 180 Technology® will attack the same frequencies.

Another member on here (cant remember the name) with the same setup mentioned the same situation

When the RPM range (regardless of gears) is above 3.5k the sound is definitely "rowdy" with the crackles and pops but on throttle below those RPM ranges, there is some droning but not overly obtrusive.

I noticed your site has a AWE Tuning Electronic Valve Simulators for the C43 sedan. Any more info on what that is and what the install is like?
I have your AWE touring exhaust already on my car.

Put simply, they're exactly what the name entails. Since the 43 has a valved exhaust option, and our exhausts do not feature valves, the simulators simply plug into the factory harness to "trick" the ECU in to thinking valves are still there. They are not needed, rather they're optional. When the valves are unplugged, there's a "soft code" stored... but no CEL nor does it hinder performance or operation if they're not used

Does anyone know what the installation time should be for the touring exhaust?
Side question: Anyone know what the installation time should be for weistec downpipes?
Thanks,

Just delivered! I'm looking forward to getting loud.
Install happens tomorrow. Reviews to follow. And before anyone asks, I don't own a GoPro or windproof microphone so don't expect any game changer audio clips. You will however get an unbiased opinion on sound from a guy who has played the drums for 18 years and only knows that the factory burmeister stereo at it's loudest volume.
