It looked, drove and sounded awesome, even without the performance pack on their demo. Very smooth to drive and two completely different cars from comfort to sports+. Comfort mode certainly ticked the boxes for a day to day drive and sports+ turned on the aggression big time.
Loved it and certainly met, if not exceeded high expectations!
Can't compare to C450 as it never came to Australia.

I'm based in the UK and ordered my C43 Coupe about 4 weeks ago. I'm taking delivery of it tomorrow morning and am itching with excitement!
I ordered it in Obsidian Black, Premium Plus with Privacy glass and the 19" AMG Multispoke alloy wheels. I managed to get it for £44823 (12% off list) direct from my local Mercedes branch which seems like a great deal after looking/asking around.
This is going to be my first brand new car and first AMG. I can't wait!

Congrats on the car! Little Jealous as I ordered mine almost 3 months ago and I'm still going to be waiting another month! But you'll definitely have to post some more pictures once you get it!
I heard from my dealer again today and he said that it definitely won't be till January because there are to many left over c450 in the USA and Mercedes wants to release the coupes and sedans at the same time for marketing purposes. Wtf
Hello everyone. After 5 months of waiting my C43 sedan finally arrived. When I went to check out the car I discovered that it didn't have the performance exhaust package which was the main reason I had opted for the (semi)AMG model.
Obviously I'm extremely disappointed at the moment and left the car at the dealership. I'm currently thinking whether I should ask them to install a custom exhaust system or cancel the deal altogether.
Does someone know if there have been more similar problems with performance exhausts in Europe or was it excluded because of my dealerships carelessness? Somebody said in another thread that performance exhaust system is not allowed in the EU but the dealership told me nothing and I couldn't find a credible source which would confirm this.
Also, which is the best aftermarket exhaust system for C43?
Did you thoroughly check the exact spec on your oder form before agreeing to your order?....i.e. did it state " U78 AMG Performance Exhaust System, selectable" ?
I'm in the U.K, still currently in the EU, all demo C43 coupes have this exhaust on them as standard, and that spec is on my order form.
You have to select it as an option on the saloon.

It's times like this that takes away any buyer remorse I had when I heard that the C43 was arriving and arriving with a switchable performance exhaust

Don't worry I'll get them up here once I finally get out of the car . I was lucky the dealer had a free build slot for me but if it's any consolation, tomorrow is the only day this week it's raining here!
Your dealer gave you one just to drive around in? I wish my dealer would do that for me
I asked very nicely...said I wanted to see what it was like to live with, take on long journeys and drive at night etc. so he gave it to me over the bank holiday weekend a couple of weeks ago.

Jeez that sucks. We didn't get the C450 over here. There has been no non-63 quick petrol C class here for a long time!
Have they released prices/specs for you guys yet? Presumably it will be similar to what we have over here?

Over here in the UK, the saloon and estate models have the AMG performance exhaust as a £1000 option whereas the cabriolet and coupe come with it as standard (but have a higher list price).
I don't blame you for walking away. That noise is so addictive and was one of the main reasons for buying it. It sounds incredible!
Yeah, I would definitely walk away if it's lacking the performance exhaust. The exhaust (and not the 9G) is the only FOMO i feel in regards to the C43 replacing the C450. However, I did install the AWE tuning touring exhaust and the C450 does sound considerably louder and deeper but no where as cool as having a controllable valve performance exhaust built from merc factory
