Searching the car's VIN finally started to show up in the online sites. I know a couple of people had problems confirming if acoustic glass is included in the build, if you search HERE you should be able to see all the options in your car

That's a shame, would've thought the coupes would should up by now. I guess the paper pushers in MBUSA are just that slow

Worked for me when checking a coupe. Although I'm kind of disappointed I checked - just realized that the code for "Discontinuation of color seatbelts" was present. I kinda wanted red seatbelts

Mine doesn't show acoustic glass on that sight..I guess I don't have it, or they forgot to list it on their sheet for September build sedans..? I'm gonna guess I don't have it.

So just stopped and talked to my dealership, they looked up my coupe and it is indeed on the train, in Ontario right now and supposed to still be on track for arriving Oct 12th... Definitely not in Halifax...

Getting them to do a full xpel stealth wrap when it arrives before pick up.

You lucky bustard! Have they provided you with a quote for the xpel? I'm excited for you man, less than a week left!

A full wrap is expensive so don't you want to see the car/test drive it and see if it has what you ordered or that no one backed into the door in the lot before you spend maybe $4k on a wrap if you don't accept the car and can't get the wrap money back?

If so, amazing! I'm confused - I spoke to a customer service specialist at MB HQ and she said that the cars are all in Halifax about 2 days back. Even my corporate SA said there's no update until the cars have their software updated. Either my reps haven't a clue, or your rep doesn't. I'm hoping its the former lol

Yeah, I was quota $5800 for a C450 stealth wrap last year (in PA)...I am still laughing about that one. $4800 for materials and $1K for labor. I think that was prior to the patterns being available for the 450, so everything was counted as a full sheet.

I haven't looked lately, are C43 coupe patterns available? ...seems early (like I was last year).

It's going to look awesome... I'll definitely be interested in seeing some pics when it's done

No idea, but at first he started out saying they were delayed again... Then looked it up and went Oh wait, guess it's on a rail car already and in Ontario... So either I got lucky, or he's crazy lol

It is a bit of a risk, but really as for physical damage at the lot I would hope they do some quality control first... But being 2 hrs away from the dealer and work out of town to top it off, it limits my ability to just pop in and see the car before going to get the wrap done. Yes putting some faith in the dealer, and hopefully that doesn't back fire.

Believe the C43 and the C300 sport share the same body and there are templates for it out already. So think they should be able to use those. Or at least some of them to reduce the custom work they have to do.

What's the purpose of the wrap? I'm not criticizing, I'm just curious. It seems like a lot of dough

I got a matte paint finish and plan on driving the car year round, up north they salt and sand the roads, easy for paint to get destroyed in a hurry. Since matte is tricky to match of you have to do any touch ups figure it's just easier to wrap the whole car and be done with it. Plan on keeping the car for a while so seems like a reasonable investment to keep it looking new on the outside.

I see, but if you are going to wrap, then I suppose you could get any colour then! it just seems counter productive to pay extra for a matte paint, which is very nice, by the way, and then hide it with the wrap, I guess that's just my opinion, but off course, is your car and your money, so as long as it makes you happy, you need not concern yourself with other people's opinion like mine.

He's not hiding the paint. The xpel stealth makes your car paint look like it's matte anyway. The wrap won't affect the color of his paint, because it's essentially the same color.
