Inconsistency of 2017 C43 AMG Badging

In a nutshell yes, but also it lets you open/close the exhaust valves in any driving mode at will e.g. you can enjoy the louder, brutish exhaust notes whilst still being in comfort mode (whereas with the stock exhaust it changes based on which driving mode you're in and its obviously less noisy overall).

As predictable as buying a winter beater lol...like what, am I in high school or something. So stupid. A C63 isn't good enough to require a beater. A GT-S, SL63 - yes. But to park a sedan over it is laughable. Either put up with it and get the best winter tires possible, or get AWD (and still great winter tires!).

Meh, that is what insurance is for. We pay enough for it. Driving **** cars just isn't my thing but for others I'm sure it works for them.

I agree about the insurance. I don't plan on keeping this car particularly long and would hate the resale value of it with a collision on its record. I commute just over an hour so having a beater to throw miles on is also a plus

Just enjoy your cars people. 99.9% of the population don't know or care what AMG means. So if you are attempting to impress these people, then you have some sad problems, my friends.

Why? Why the hell would you bump a 5 month old thread and bring this stupid conversation back to life?

2021 Mercedes C63s AMG Coupe
I do not know about you OP, but my car has AMG badges all over the place. And no I did not put them on there.
- Engine has big AMG Letters on the red bit of the Plastic cover.
- AMG Steering wheel
- RPM gauge has AMG written on it
- Centre console has AMG emblem on it (the bit that opens up for coffee holder)
- All four door sills
- Rear Trunk Badge (I do not which car does not have it)
- Front Grille Badge (Again I do not know who got without theirs)
- Commad Screen when you turn the car on.
How much more badges do you want, haha? Sorry I do not see how Mercedes was confused with this car being an AMG. Looks pretty apparent to me.

Still not convinced about the allure of a hand built engine. There is a lot more variability that goes in to the manufacturing process of a hand built engine as well as unncessary cost. BMW realized a long time ago that their target demographic for M wanted a car that has scalpel like precision and decided that driver engagement was more important than marketing gimmicks. AMG will follow suit in time.
Companies are fickle - they could care less about their core demographic if they can do something that boosts sales and grows their customer base.
I still remember when the Jetta dropped heavily in price and Jetta customers screamed bloody murder because it tainted the brand. VW gave a good old swift boot in the behind to their 'prestigious' customer base and made the move that will boost sales, profit, and is better for shareholders. Mercedes just did the same thing. Business 101.
