C43 Coupe Winter Tires

Hi Folks,

I was hoping to get some advice on winter tires. I am far from being a tire specialist so you'll have to bare with my lack of knowledge.

The Mercedes spec winter rims and tires that come on the C43 Coupe are as follows:

7.5x18 ET33 Front
7.5x18 ET44 Back

There is a well known Rim and Tire shop in my area that is selling the following:

8x18 ET35 Front & Back

They have apparently been putting these on C450's for winter since last year. At this point, I have no reason to doubt them but I thought I would do my due diligence.

Does anyone know if a 8x18 ET35 would work fine on the C43 Coupe? Assuming I don't utilize any spacers, etc. Thoughts?

Thank you!

I just ordered 2 PIRELLI WINTER SOTTOZERO 3 XL and 2 255/35R-19 PIRELLI WINTER SOTTOZERO 3 XL for my stock 19" AMG wheels coming on the Coup. Non-run flats. Going to throw these on the stock wheels (well, have the dealership do it upon arrival) and then get new wheels in the Spring for the summer tires.

Never used them personally but I've read decent reviews of them, believe they are a pretty common choice.

Was looking for winter setup for a C43 today and this is what was recommended, which will also fit my C400. I plan to change in the spring to ensure that they will go from C400 to C43, and yes, they will.

Unless you are content with 10,000 miles before getting new ones on this platform. My LM32 are cooked after 2 winters...
