C43 Coupe or F-type V6S Coupe
I'm torn between both; like the AMG for the practicality - combines sport, luxury and functionality [4 seats, trunk, etc.]
But the F-type is Aston Martin sexy; the design, exclusivity, and the noise is just the cherry on top. But it does lack 4 seats which makes it impractical for everyday use.

I have driven an F-type and a C450. Am brand-neutral as I have a Range Rover and C63S. If its me, no contest there. F-Type.

Like others are saying C63 coupe is more like it. The F Coupe is so sexy not sure about reliabilty but very unique car for sure in Canada.
You already lost the war on fake or not fake since it's already labelled AMG but please continue to sound like an old man living in the past it's quite entertaining! I personally could care less what decals I have on the trunk. I was not interested in a C300 and a C63 propulsion no good for me in the snow so C43 made more sense that's it it's that simple otherwise I would of bought another brand and for that I say kudos to MB. When I describe the car I say it's like a little brother to the C63 which is way more agressive in every way.

In the trade, we call it badge engineering, but go ahead and believe, so long as it helps you justify the extra money...

Same argument. Everything that makes the AMG is not in the c43. If you could tune a c43 to be a c63 and they were identical in most other ways I'd understand the argument. Since you cannot I don't understand why people want their c43 to be a true Amg so badly. Since it's not. It's technically an AMG sport for all intents and purposes. It honestly has nothing to do with status it's just the fact that everyone is saying the c43 is on the same level as a c63 but they're not. One is practical and the other is for people who wanted a ridiculous car. So they bought an AMG.
As as for this post id go 100% Jag!! It's a beautiful car.

That V6S is gorgeous. To the OP, if you're going used, why aren't you comparing against a used C63 or C63S?

I have considered this car too..
Although it looks great on the outside it lacks inside... its very plastic and lacks class.
Also, the R rear end was just too crazy for me - The AWD was not out back then.
The price of this car in Oz isn't cheap either...
But the SVR is a different story haha

I would get a used F-Type V6S over a C43, assuming you don't need the extra space.
My old neighbor had that car, and while I never drove it myself, I found it a really exciting vehicle with gorgeous looks and a mean exhaust (yes even the V6 sounds amazing).
The new price tag on that is alot higher than the C43 too, and even higher than most C63S, so you would be getting a huge deal if you got one for 50k.

c43 would make a better dd, its a very personal decision because the f types flaws are part of its lust... hard to explain but the heart will always always choose the f type. That v6 on throttle and lift off sounds the money.

My two cents
I currently drive a 2014 F-Type convertible. I've had it since they came out 3yrs ago. I love love love the car. Ironically, I'm already smitten with the full-loaded C43 coupe I ordered last week. It will be ready in Feb.
On the F-Type: Like you, I was immediately drawn to the lines of the F-Type (and like you, I don't see many of them on the road, which is nice) This is my daily driver. It's gorgeous from every angle and the coupe is arguably even slightly better looking. little crossfire-ish, but still gorgeous.
Couple of things...price, yes is key. You mentioned going used so that helps make them more comparable...mine is the V6 and is pushing $85k...great sound, plenty of immediate throttle, constant compliments, the lines are amazing.
After having it for several years and recently driving the first C43 that the dealership got...I'm really excited for better traction(4matic)...Horsepower is great...if you can plant it and even with my base V6 (340hp) i'm connnstantly losing traction. Even if I'm not trying to punch it. There's no weight back there, which is funny since the F-Type has a gorgeous, fat ***. Now with you looking at the Coupe, your handling is going to be better than my convertible. It's definitely a sports car with regards to the suspension...I live in Dallas and it's Potholes everywhere here...so i spend most of my commute dodging road hazards. God forbid someone spits on the road and there's any sort of moisture on the pavement...this car is worthless in bad weather, luckily it's not too often/common in Texas. You will also be taking every slight incline at an angle and you'll become the best "back up parker" you know. The front bumper is too low to ever risk pulling too far into a parking spot and hearing that horrible nose of the plastic protective piece that hangs from the bumper, scrape across concrete...same with steep angles. Takes some thought.
Truthfully, the C43 Interior, handling, suspension, comfort, TECHNOLOGY, traction, and "space" all blow the F-Type out of the water, as much as that hurts to admit.
The exhaust notes on my stock jag are stellar, albiet a little gimmicky to some...I think the Perf Exhaust on the C43 rivals, if not exceeds it...specifically due to the automatic downshifting warbles the c43 exudes constantly with it in Sport+.
The pros/cons list goes on and on for both cars. I'll keep it short though and put it like this...the F-Type wins on overall looks/presence. The c43 makes up for the "blander" curb appeal by blowing it away in handling and comfort.
I'm torn...the F-type is the nicest car I've ever owned...I'm going to miss it for sure...but there are plenty of things I'm gaining with the full loaded C43 that I'm VERY excited about getting for almost $20k cheaper. Good luck.

Very true. Good point. I've done several group outings where we rally raced on pre-mapped out county roads and you're right, it handles great when pushed around corners at high speeds, especially for rwd. MY handling complaint, if you will, is more so traction-based than steering and feel.
Also, after I test drove the c43, then got back in my car...i realized how flimsy and plastic-y the F-type shift paddles are. :/
