thanks, I did not notice that. AWD with HP ratings approaching the C63 is a good combo.

Just wanted to post that in about a year or so I will be in your exact same spot. I also live in MN and the c63 is pretty much a dream car for me.... However, I just cannot get by the RWD for MN winters. I am sure they are selling fine but I just wish MB would release an AWD version and I feel so many more people in snow climates would buy them. I am most likely going with a c43 just for the daily drive/snow issue alone.

Honestly, based on reading all your comments it seems apparent to me that you want the GLC63s more than the others. I can see why as well because it's a hatch and has that 4.0L V8 in it plus the AWD and ride height for the snow. As someone who is used to AWD and SUVs, going to the sedan will feel like a different world (I've done it myself actually since family changes cars and I do most of the driving).

I'm actually surprised you didn't consider the GLC43 coupe, since that fills the same requirements, just with the 3.0L V6 - and it's available right now.

I also wish the C43 came in notchback form like the S5 Sportback, but I doubt that will happen for a good while if ever. My next car will either be the C43 or GLC43, depending on where I end up living after law school (snow + potholes in consideration. Also can't beat the practicality of a hatch rear).

I drove the GLC43 initially and my immediate feedback was "this feels kind of boring." Sales guy put it in sport + and it was better but I just didnt love it. Now with the performance exhaust option in '18 may reconsider. Not sure which way to go at this point. Id hate to do this but possibly ask for my deposit back as the car isnt in production anyway.

I'd wait and get the GLC63s. You seem to be keen on it and it has that 4.0L V8. It's more sporty than standard SUVs (so an improvement on the GC and explorer) and it has a hatch rear so some practicality too for all that baseball equipment. For potholes and heavy snow, which you mentioned you are in at least 50 days a year, having that jacked up air suspension and AWD is a must IMO.

After all I decided to stick it out for the GLC63 and traded in the Jeep. In the meantime I am having fun with this M3 lease should get me to winter when this one will hopefully come in. Life without a hatchback has already shown its disadvantages!

Nice! Glad you came to a decision - did you get word when the GLC63 arrives in dealerships?

I'm looking into the GLC63 as well since I'm in the market this fall, but I may decide on the GLC 43 instead since I want some minimally acceptable fuel economy and 362hp is enough for me. We will see though.

And yeah, having the hatch is a huge advantage that you miss out with sedans, which became I became more acutely aware of switching between sedans and SUVs over the last few years (and getting older with changing needs). Looking forward to getting another SUV soon.
