Sourcing suspension

Hey guys. Been trying to do some digging on suspension components.

Basically, the only person who has verified their components (other than H&R spring kit) has been a guy in europe running KW Variant 3's.

He gave me the part numbers and it allowed me to source a HAS kit that matches his full coilover system.

I am in contact with a dealer (Supreme Power) who thinks they might be able to get them.

Now, technically - they are for a c450 estate, but they should work nonetheless, potentially with stiffer rear springs than desirable - but that is something I can overlook.

Hello,

We can get the KW coilovers for you. It is in fact the V3 and we have the part number. Special order from Germany so will take several weeks to arrive.

Thank you!

We were told about a month ago, only the V3 kit was available. In order for us not sell you the wrong parts, where did you happen to these PN's?

Thank you!

If you've got the standard MB suspension then I can understand going coilovers.

But with AMG's adjustable shocks, why would you want to get rid of that? They're one of the great aspects of these cars.

I think with the HAS you can keep your oem shocks. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

Well then wouldn't that just be springs, and not coilovers?

What does HAS stand for anyways?

Using the v3 part numbers I cross referenced with the HAS kit.

These part numbers are correct and I will assume all liability for parts not working.

Can you get them?

Sorry we weren't able to help you out.

Installing H&R springs here in the next couple off weeks. So for anyone that has installed springs on this chassis, how was it? More difficult/frustrating than other cars, average, or easier?

Any helpful tips or tricks?

Thanks

That reverse rake h&r creates would drive me nuts. Only reason I'm trying to source something else.

Same.
As far as an update goes:

basically @autotalent was able to offer the KW HAS kit @ ~$900 for me with a 4 week lead time.

I have not purchased the suspension.

There doesn't seem to be a HAS kit for the C43 yet, only the C63.

KW V3 coilovers are available though which is annoying as I am also after the HAS for my c43 Coupe!

It's just a car. As long as it's lower and handling a bit better, I'm happy.

Nice, looks good.

Let us know.

I will also be in Germany sooner than later - but hopefully they are actually selling them in the US by then.

Hello,

We can get these for you, but we can't promise the fitment is correct. We see in the description it says it'll fit the C450 4matic, which means it should fit the C43 also. We can order the part, but if the parts won't fit, it's our name that will be ruined because we sold you the wrong parts.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yeah. I said I would assume liability.

I also have a c450.

But, don't worry about it. You did more damage even posting this.
