As for the second must have option, I don't think there really is one....you could give me a bare-bones C43C with the performance exhaust and I'd be happy.

If I was building a 2017 C43 sedan and could only pick two options, it would be Premium 2 package (for the upgraded stereo and LED headlights) and the performance exhaust.
If I was building a 2017 C43 coupe and could only pick two options, it would be ventilated front seats (because it's a cheap option) and the performance exhaust.
Note that the options for 2018 are categorized differently than 2017 so this may not apply. I haven't seen the DOG for 2018 C-class sedan yet.

MBWorld Fanatic!
If it's a DD and your commute averages more than 10 minutes of stop and go traffic get the adaptive cruise control (distance pilot). It's friggin' awesome! The car literally drives itself when traveling <20mph. It will do it at higher speeds as well but above 20mph the car will insist that you keep your hands on the wheel. At 20mph or less she will gladly steer for you without your hands on the wheel with no complaints.

1. LED lights.. (this came with my premium 1 or 2 package, I forgot..they've changed)
2. Panorama roof.
Basically for looks only. The car has a the standard engine that we clearly opted for vs the c300, so I just wanted to make sure my car looked good as well.(super shallow)
If the exhaust option would've been available, that would've been #1 and the LED lights #2.

Performance exhaust like most. It's a must for this car!
For me second option would be 19" wheels. I m a sucker for larger wheels. But to be more practice I would chose the premium 2 package for the sound system upgrade.

I cannot live without a sunroof, and this one is exceptional. I was buying a Golf R but took it out of the equation because there was not roof option. I'm not saying it's the only reason I spent 30% more on a car, but it's a reason.
I usually leave my car with the shade open too, back seat passengers love it most of all. At 60mph with the windows halfway down and the shade fully back, the breeze comes through and runs across you. With the windows up and the shade in the first position, the is no buffeting or queezy feeling for passengers in the front or rear.
I love opening the roof after I wash my car, to get some fresh air without effing up my clean windows.
I love driving through Manhattan checking out the skyline, and driving up the Hudson and catching an eagle fly over (bald eagle is back and thriving in NY again).
So yeah. Panoramic roof.
...oh and red seatbelts. Get them while that's still a new thing. They make you feel special every time you startup and they squeeze you.

That, "how did I ever get by" feeling you may have for the few times you may appreciate an option you are going to have to weigh yourself. Example: you DD in a 2 hr traffic commute, the distronic is probably fantastic. If you use the car as a grocery getter, then the auto trunk may be worth it. If you want a decent audio and don't plan on modding, get the Burmeister. If you want the best looking car, you're too late, I already own it.
