It is the perfect daily driver. It is handsome and stylish from the outside, and gorgeous on the inside. The seats are comfortable, and the dash layout it perfect. The ride is a bit harsh for some, but it never bothers me at all.
The only concern that you may have is the gas economy... It sucks! I personally spend twice as much on gas as I did in my VW GLi (one less liter, one less turbo, 2 fewer cylinders, and 165 fewer HP), but that's the tradeoff you make.
I love my c450. For me, it splits the difference between a luxury car and a sports car. It is keeping me from getting an econobox and something Italian for weekends for 18 months so far.

According the following link, C43 is not much worse than the C300. The combined gas mileages are:
1. C43. 23 MPG
2. C300 Coupe. 25 MPG
3. C300 Sedan. 27 MPG
4. CLK320 Coupe. 20 MPG (my ride which I bought new 13 yrs ago)

For what it's worth, I get closer to 18 MPG. The fact is, when your loud pedal feels this good, you tend to dip a bit deeper than you should, more often than you should.

It's a great daily driver depending on the types of roads you're on. I drive 28 miles to work each way on some pretty terrible highways in Toronto. The ride is pretty loud and bone shattering with my current run flat tires. I'm okay with it though. You'll be at the pumps about three times every two weeks. My commute usually ends up being 18 mpg. When driven hard on the weekends, 15 mpg is more likely.

So you know exactly what I am talking about. I live in Mississauga and for at least the next few months, I work in Richmond Hill. I leave the house at 6:30AM and the commute time is 1-1.5 hours. If I leave at 7:30AM, it would take 2 hours.

I have a 435 as well and the drive isn't much better with that car either (19 inch wheels with runflats).
Regardless, I'm okay with it because I wanted something more sporty than cushy at this point in my life lol
Which dealership are you working with?

Used to live in 'Sauga and had to drive to Maple every day. If I left at 6, I could get there in about 30 min. If I left at 6:30 or if there was an accident, then it would take almost double or triple that.
If you don't need the performance or don't plan on opening it up very much, go with the c300. With the amount of stop and go you endure on a daily basis, get the distronic cruise control

Definitely get distronic. It takes a lot of the frustration out of stop-and-go traffic.
C43/C450 is a pretty good daily driver. The ride is a little harsh when dealing with rough road surfaces. My GLC43 is better for rough surface streets. My afternoon commute is about an hour. I use distronic for about 45 minutes of stop and go at a bridge entry ramp. Knowing what I know now, the only change I would make is getting stock 18s instead of the 19s.

Damned. Distronic Plus with Active Steering is part of the intelligent Drive package that i don't plan to get. If all OK, I may drive the new car for 10 years or so and the features in Intelligent Drive package seem high maintenance.

I see. Is this why they now call it Distronic Plus with Steering Assist? In traffic, do you just set the cruise control and let it drive itself, even let it steers?
I think these driving assistance features are cool but are probably high maintenance in the long run. No problem if I keep the car for 3 years or so but maybe problematic in the log run.
Another reason is I am not sure if I can trust them 100%. A malfunction may cause big damage to the car.

I'm not planning on keeping the car after the warranty expires, but I agree, it would probably be expensive to fix. OTOH, working properly, I think it would help resale value.
Even with the system turned on, you're still responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle and can never take your attention away from the road. Look at what happened with the guy in the Tesla. If he didn't fall asleep, he would probably still be alive. My car warns me when I have my hands off the steering wheel for 20-30 seconds with the system on. Take it for a test drive and see if you like it.
