The 2018s....

18 changes from 17
I came out as the 18s were about 2k more than a loaded up 17 sedan. Also Im not a fan of how they took the wood off the doors and replaced that with brushed aluminum when you select the black ash trim option. The black ash trim on the doors and center console look so good on our 2017 C3000. Just my personal preference.

Not sure how you built it. Maybe additional options available for the 18s? With the same options as the 17, the 18 comes out a little cheaper. Also, that is not the point. You could now get popular options like advance lighting and electronic trunk closer without having to shell out $7000 for a P4 package which included all the unnecessary parking tech gimmickry.
You are right. Didn't catch my eye. The wood looked a lot better on the doors than the brushed aluminum. Not sure what the motive was for this change. The silver burmester speakers on the wood also looked more upscale than the black ones on aluminum.

Yes sir. I agree on the speakers standing out better. IDK. things change. im not *****ing but just something i noticed that i wasnt thrilled about since I have been considering ordering a c43. the c300 we have is very nice with the wood on the doors. minor detail i know.
i would take styrofoam doors on a C43 than wood door on a c300. Just saying. Performance > Luxury in my world

Sir im not cross shopping the two just saying i liked the wood on the doors over metal. Simple statement and opinion really. Thanks for the valuable advice however.

I'm coming from a C300 with the dark ashwood on the doors to a C43 with the dark ashwood only on the centre console. I would agree with you mostly but I think the brushed steel on the door adds a little bit more flash to the interior. To each their own, but I think you'll have trouble disliking it the C43 way if you get one!

My girlfriend is negotiating price on custom order 2018 C43 coupe. They are telling her she can only get 1600 off MSRP. Car is 68,315. Car has many options but not the distronic option. She has HUD, ventilated seats, lighting, P2, AMG Exhaust, carbon fiber trim, multimedia (320), 19s. We are wondering what others are getting off MSRP on 2018 C43 in USA. I was able to get big discounts on my E300 so we are disappointed right now on these prices.
Thanks

We ordered our 2018 (comes in next week) and arrived at invoice (Dealer net price) - which ends up about 6% below MSRP. We are happy with that. I find it hard to believe that anyone is getting 10% or more off MSRP on a special order 2018, unless they are getting a fleet discount, which we did not have access to.

UPDATE
Went to the dealer to discuss pricing. MSRP for the car is $74,985. Most dealer would bend to is $5,148 discount bringing it to $69,837. This is without my fleet discount which can only be done close to when I'll be picking up the car.
I'm not sure if im going to privately sell my current car, or trade it in, but one thing to note is if you do trade it in, they give you a tax discount on the benz as a little incentive to trade in. They'd give me $18,000 for my current car, add tax and the final is $56,405(ish) before fleet.

I was able to get 16.2% (including fleet discount) off MSRP on a very well equipped 2016 C450, and before that I was able to get 15% (including fleet discount) off MSRP on a very well equipped ordered 2015 C300 Sport 4Matic. Vehicles were bought at two different MB dealerships here in Mass.

Here in Mass, you get taxed on the price of the new vehicle minus what you get on your trade.

Yeah state tax discount, helps a little bit. Flip side is privately selling will result in more money just gotta deal with waiting for the right person to buy.

I don't believe many have gotten more than 10% off the c43. Many people report their c450 buying experience and that was very possible to get ~15% off MSRP.
I think everyone should be happy at 5% and shoot for 10%. The area you live is also important. When you purchase and the MY is also important.

It took me no more than 2 hours to get this deal. I'm actually annoyed with myself because I think had I started at a lower number i could have saved an extra grand or two.
Btw I live in Los Angeles, and this was at a dealer in Glendale. I just walked in to start the negotiating and bidding process, didn't expect them to agree to 10% off so quickly.
Btw, for those saying this isn't possible... give me 2-3 months until my car arrives and I sign papers. I will gladly post final numbers and official documents from the dealer showing what I paid. Another thing, I do not have any fleet discounts etc.... I negotiated hard and threatened to walk out of the dealer several times. I also let them run my credit to let them know I could afford it and I sat there ready to give them a deposit for the order. It took me leaving the dealership twice for them to stop me and bring me back in and agree to my price. Not saying I'm proud of it, just saying it can be done guys... keep pushing!

I was able to negotiate 10% off MSRP on a custom order 2018 C43 AMG Sedan... MSRP was $66,000 I got it for $59,000. When they say the best they can do is $1600 off that's rubbish...

I now start only with the internet sales person when I begin negotiating for a new car...and if the deal has potential, then and only then do I even step foot in the dealership.
When purchasing a new vehicle, the important things to have completed before starting your negotiations are:
1) Know what the vehicle costs them, along with the cost of all the major options for that model.
2) What the "trade-in" value of your trade is worth.
3) What the incentives & interest rates are currently.
I even check with TrueCar to see what the buying trends are for the vehicle. February - March are usually slow times at the dealerships for cars.
Keep in mind, the salesmen at the dealership usually don't want to waste their time with "tire kickers", they want to deal only with people who are serious buyers...so show them you are serious, and you'll usually get a good deal!

Hear, hear! Now that's the way to negotiate with a car dealership. What people don't understand is the BUYER has all the power. What's the worst that can happen, they say no? So what, move on to the next dealership. As a matter of fact, for every "negotiation" I've had with a dealership that went south, they always called me up the next day trying to get me back in.
