Installed 20's on my C43 Coupe

I know a lot of people have discussed putting 20's on. We did a lot of research on here before deciding, so thank you to all who posted there wheel/tire specs. Loving the final results.

Looks good. How much more weight did this add to the car?

Looks great man! Can you post a pic along side the car so we can see if the wheels are flush or if they poke?

Thanks in advance!

looks really clean, nice job and thanks for posting.
i feel like the coupe either needs 20's or really aggressive 19's. I'll be making a move right after winter.

I was thinking the same... think I'm going to pull the trigger on a suspension before I decide on wheels.

Have a feeling that going more aggressive then stock might do justice for some 19's.

Looks absolutely awesome. Any issues with clearance? are you on stock suspension here?

Just ordered a C43 in white and planning to do exactly this.

You're almost running a square setup, does the car behave differently or the same as stock?

The OP installed the tires size below. So for the front tire 35% of 235 = 82.25. For the rear tire 30% of 275 = 82.5 so the sidewall height is nearly is almost identical for the two tires and nearly a square setup correct? Am I missing something here?

I've always seen "square setup" referred to when talking about same size wheels and tires front and rear. It is still an offset/staggered setup on this car.

the set-up does decrease the diameter difference but "square" set-ups usually refer to the same wheel and tire being on the front and rear in identical nature.

I'm considering this size tire too. My concern has been whether this much wider would fit and not rub the upper control arm in the front. When I stick my finger in there it's pretty tight with the stock 225.

Is the clearance tire to the control arm still good enough, no rub?

Nice, congratulations! Are you planning on lowering the car next, or staying at stock height?

Although I have a sedan, for as long as you go with an offset of +32 - +30 in the front you’ll have enough clearance. My front set up is the same, except my rears are 20x10 +55, my tires are wider at 245/35 f, 285/30 r, i’m also lowered on h&r springs. No rub, and ride is amazing!

I actually want to put 235-40-19 on the stock front wheels but was worried they might rub the upper control arm. The 235-40-19s are roughly the same size as your 235-35-20s. Figured if yours don't rub mine won't.

You will decrease performance by doing such. That is too much tire for the width of the wheels (7.5inch), the contact patch will be no better even if you do run the wider tire (and the sidewall is taller), not to mention the tire will now roll over more easily which will numb the steering feel and increase body roll slightly.

Intresting, I might have to reconsider and maybe just look into getting the parts I need to increase the front negative camber. My goal is to increase the front end cornering grip.

Sorry for the revive, but was the OP on stock suspension? I am thinking of 20s but unfortunately I cant lower my car for parking and other reasons. I want to fill out the gap, so I was thinking of 20s vs 19s.

Hey I know this is an old post. Is this car on factory suspension?
