Only been to Laguna Seca, so I can't speak to RA. There is lots to do in the Carmel/Monterey/Salinas area - sights to see, loads of wine, plus Laguna Seca is just iconic for the Corkscrew. A couple logistical points to consider as well - the Monterey airport is small, so arrival/departures are limited and can be pricey. The alternative is San Jose which is an okay drive, but a drive none the less. If you're the type to want to rub shoulders with the instructors, AMG puts them up at the Intercontinental on Cannery Row.

still debating if i should bring the wife. dont want her sitting around all day while i have fun. anyone ever been to one of these and can shed light on if this is a guys trip or if the $250 for a wife is worth it? My guess is she will be dropping me off at the airport? haah

Also, the area is supercar hotspot with proximity to pebble beach! Saw a pack of 6 McLaren's doing canyon runs leaving the track

Unless your wife is in to cars as much as you, hard pass on actually bringing her to the track. She'll be bored as hell. On the other hand, if you do end up going to Laguna, she'll love the area, even if she's on her own for the day. If she's in to TV shows, Carmel by the Sea, Monterey and Big Sur is where they shot Big Little Lies. Loads of boutique shopping in Carmel. If you two want to make more of an actual vacation together, go to Laguna Seca. Send her to the shops, and the both of you can go to Refuge spa (https://www.refuge.com/) after the track to relax. She'll thank you...

I'm taking vacation and don't fly back to NY until the 22nd .. so my only choice was 23rd at Lime Rock. If anyone else is going that day let me know.

I am glad I registered when I did. Only Saturday had been full. All of the tracks on the schedule for the year are excellent tracks.

I'm also going December 8th! I'll see you there. Is anyone else going to the Performance course at COTA December 8th? Pretty cool that it's free registration for new car owners. woot

Excuse my ignorance but how does this work again? Do you bring your own car or do you drive their cars while you're there? They explained it all back when I bought my car but I can't remember now, I definitely need to sign up either way.

You drive their cars. You have 4 tracks across the US to choose from and it's the Performance class that you take. I believe you only have 1 year from car purchase/lease to use your gift and classes fill up quick.

If you purchased a new Mercedes-AMG model in the last twelve (12) months, a complimentary seat at any of the PERFORMANCE Training programs has been reserved for you or a credit of $1,895 can be put towards ADVANCED, PRO, or PRO+ training, if prerequisites are met. AMG Purchase Rewards cannot be applied towards the DRIFT program.
Registration and attendance for the complimentary program must occur within one year after the purchaser takes ownership of a new Mercedes-AMG vehicle and is non-transferable.
All of the Mercedes-AMG vehicles used throughout the program are provided by AMG Driving Academy.

Bumping this for people who have went, I'm planning on going to laguna seca in november, So are we allowed to bring a driving guest for $250?
"We strongly encourage you to not bring a non-driving guest."
"No, only one paying guest per paid registration is permitted."
Quite confused, So since I personally get a free track day, may i bring driving guest for free aswell?
