Winter Wheel and Tire Fitment Question

Hey Guys,

I found a really good deal for a set of winter rims and tires online that came off a GLA 45 AMG... was wondering if you guys would know if they would be able to fit on my C450...

The specs of the wheels are as follows

Tires: 235/45/R19

Wheels: 8.5-9.0 Inch (owner isn't 100% sure as he isn't able to check) with an ET of 48 on all four

Was just wondering if any of the tire and wheel pros would be able to advise if these would fit on my car.. the wheel offset calculator says I'd have 22mm less clearance on the front if they are 8.5's and 34mm less if they are 9's

Let me know if any further info is required and I can provide!

Thanks guys!

I was told nothing with offset greater than 45 would fit my c43 which I assume is same spec as your 450. Not sure how accurate that is but I bought a set that were 35 offset and they fit perfectly within wheel well. Hope that helps.

If you are going for fronts you won't be able to fit more than 8.5'' wheel without serious suspension modifications. With that said the widest I was able to fit was an 8.5'' AMG wheel with 10mm spacers to get the et down to 30. Originally the rim size was 8.5'' with 40et so with 10mm spacer I was down to et 30. Some here say that you can fit 8.5'' with et 33 but I am not sure (I didn't test it myself) and my 8.5'' setup with 30et Baaaaaaaaarreeeeely fits. Rears are a lot more forgiving for tire/wheel/offset sizes.

Best of luck,
Sam

One more thing, for fronts I wouldn't go with more than 235/35/19 you can do 235/40/19 (which is what I have) but I wish I had 235/35/19 cause that would've been perfect fitment. 245 I honestly don't know if it'll fit with that 8.5'' wheels

ah that's too bad .. it's looking more and more like these aren't going to be the ones I pick up

I did find another set at 18' .. still waiting to hear back on the ET but those should work as well right?

I'm fairly certain Mercedes does offer this car on a stock 18 inch rim.

So I just called and found out that the new set I'm looking at is at 18 x 8.5 with an ET of 32 and the tires are 225/45/18 all around.. those should fit the C450 right?

For those curious the above winter wheel and tire combination worked:

Tires: 225/45/18
Wheels: 18 x 8.5 with an ET of 32

Really happy with the way these turned out however as crocoss mentions above, there is absolutely no way anything wider than an 8.5 rim will fit in the front without serious modifications as even with an 8.5 inch rim up front and a 225 width tire, it gets extremely tight in there.
