Thoughts on the 2019 facelift?

This is the c300 sport, but more than likely the c43 will look the same. I like the little air vent just north of the front wheel but think the front bumper is a bit goofy looking and the new headlight design makes the front end look more narrow.

Rear bumper looks the same, we might see an upgraded diffuser, but I wouldn't be surprised if the taillights were the only revision.

Mechanically, it's what must expected. No major changes. Virtual dash only notable detail, IMO.

C43 AMG Coupe
Looks decent, though nothing too drastic as expected.

I'm not sure the slats on the front side intakes suit the car though.

Looks pretty slick. Hopefully the 43 will get a bit more aggressive and sporty front lip and rear diffuser. And being that they've given the 43 a full AMG designation, seems strange that they don't give it the AMG quad exhaust tips. Especially as they could offer it as an option and make a good bit of money from it.

Seems as though the internals of the headlights are different. I'm guessing that's what you were referring to when you mentioned them or are you saying that the overall footprint of the housing has changed? I can't quite tell from that angle but they seem to be the same. Plus it would be insane for them to change it as that would be a huge cost to them.

Is the coupe/cabriolet also coming in 2019 or is that 2020?

Wonder if the digital dash will be retrofittable. Mustang guys have been retrofitting the pre-2018s with success.

Yes, the front bumper is pretty different. The LEDS in both front and rear are different.

Yes, they share the same front end.

No way it will be easy, if at all possible.

So the 4cyl gets a 14hp boost. What about the c43? I'd like to see 385/400 minimum out of the 2019. I might upgrade next year if so

.
if they bumped up the C300 power then I'd be expecting a bump in the C43. Especially considering it didn't get a change after the C450 got dropped. It will be a welcome upgrade

Idk why but I like real gauges better than a complete digital dash.
Maybe half and half, a real speedometer and tachometer with digital everywhere else might do it for me.

Probably because the quad tips are one of the few remaining distinguishable characteristics of a real 63 AMG. The 43 will probably get the quad rounded tips like seen on the CLS53 probably.

I've always been analog gauge guy myself, but these new configurable displays are awesome. Going somewhere new and want to change the tach to a map dispaly for a while? Sure....

Oh god, you're not one of those guys are you? One that puts some god-like quality to an engine being put together by one guy.. You know, that ironically doesn't even hand sign his signature plaque on the motor. Sorry, the 43 is a "real AMG." It doesn't matter how the parts are put together, it's the parts themselves that are of importance. And all the same parts are there between them.

Also, the tips are about the last thing I look for to distinguish if it's a 63 or a 43. Especially since you can spend $400 and swap them out. But the hood and widened fenders are a dead give-away; exhaust tips, not as much

The front vent canards don't fit the diamond grille. I liked them on the E class AMG's though. Maybe it will work with a night editioned C43 or on the AMG Grille of the 63's.

The tail lights and digital instrument cluster don't look very good from the pictures.

The new vehicle key, new push-to-start button, and slightly larger 10.25" display will be nice.

My car is coming in the next month and my buyer's remorse is sad that I may miss the canards (if they work), and the small details in my line above. However, I am relieved it will not come with the widescreen display because that thing is sweet! Also hoping the new C43 won't have any hp increases so I won't lose out

I think it's just the pics that don't do them justice. Especially the interior shot; it looks really grainy. I'd say it's almost certain that the resolution of the digital cluster will be identical to the ones in the current S & E class. It'll look good I'm sure. On one hand I do like analog gauges but I really love the functionality and customization that comes with the full digital clusters. I haven't actually experienced MB's first hand but I REALLY love Audi's "virtual cockpit" cluster. It's one thing Audi has been doing better than their competition by far.

I'm liking those front bumper "canards" more and more each time I look at the pics again. I really hope that the 43 gets a more aggressive front lip/splitter to match these new vents a bit better.

An uglier smaller E version, with a interior made for tech valley. Prefer older models.

Oh that would be much better.

I agree Audi's virtual cockpit was really nice when I was cross shopping the S4.

Also agree the current splitter is too "docile."

Im hoping they'll be some new wheel options for the 43. The model in the photos looks to be a non-AMG car but has the current unique to the 43 wheels on it. I'd be happy to get a second set of rims for my summer tires that are different than the current OEM options.

I hope they add the new MBUX to the C-Class soon. The Command system and touchpad are in need of an update. The new exterior changes are pretty subtle. I wonder what the new power ratings for the 43/63 will be...
