My search skills are failing me as I cannot seem to find my threads on this hopefully somewhat common 'upgrade', so thought I'd post a new thread to ask some questions.
I have just purchased the lower AMG steering wheel trim to fit to my standard wheel (the bit below).
I found an old thread over in the general W205 forum with instructions on how to fit it, as well as pictures of the gap left on the back due to a difference in wheel thickness.
Now one user on that thread mentioned that the gap can be solved by breaking some tabs on the trim, but I can't quite see how that is possible.
So my question is, has anyone here performed this mod, did you solve the fitment problem?
